FairWooney
the blues neither gain or lose anyone. we chuck penny bets in on anyone that looks good in the world cup which unsurpsingly get rejected leaving the players to join and often fail to succeed in the english game at other clubs. sorry not very exciting. AJ signs after missing the decinding pen in the play off final shoot out. we also sign Nugent but he spends his first season injured. Hibbert gets the 2 shirt, VDM gets 7, BT gets 9, Neville gets 8 and the armband.

java2001e
we have to sign a goalie and a striker. some of the existing squad wont be offered new contracts. players we havent seen in a while are:- martyn, lie tie, carsley, pistone. david weir is 36 so this could be his last season too. wouldnt be surprised if they all went. stubbs will go i expect. i think would be a good bet for a back room job if there are any available. vaughns injury looks serious, he's in the u.s. seeing a specialist. hope he makes it back, but who knows! so the situation is that i would expect us to shed a at least 5 players that are at the end of the road, and sign a goalie and a striker at least. Ian
Myself personally i would let the following go: lie tie naysmith carsley dickie weir kilbane the big man (but that was almost definate anyway) pistone big nige I know that is most of our team but i think we need to get rid off the dead would and the coffin dodgers and invest in young players. We don't even need to gamble on 16 year olds who could make it. The Championship has some superb players that are begging to get picked up. Lescott at Wolves, Cameron Jerome at Cardiff, Nugent, Jagielka, and theres a handful from reading that we could have had a go at. Ok we might not be able to get the reading lads or the sheffield utd midfielder but why not give it ago?! All the players there have played a few seasons now and look the real deal, a few million we could get them for and with all the players leaving our wage budget would be ok to accomidate these purchases. As someone said in this thread I think Zamorara isnt gettin as many games as he would like, why not put a cheeky bid in for him? I hope we do something this summer, lets not have a repeat of last season <_<
Adam
Pistone won't go. Signed a 2 year deal when he re-joined last summer. No-one will pay to take him According to Blue kipper the following contracts end at the end of the season David Weir - 1 year deal Alan Stubbs - 1 year deal Lie Tie - Will Go Ferg - Will Go Ferrari - Will Go martyn - 1 year deal That is what I think will happen. The only change I want is that Ferrari will sign perm deal and Weir will go. No goalkeeper will be kept and Wright will regain the number 1 place with Turner as backup and Martyn being used if anyone injured. No-one else will sign. scouse
Yeah, I can see Arteta pushing deco, xavi and ronldinho out of the Barca team. In fact i might put a bet on it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After Senegal have another great World Cup Liverpool spend 25 million on their 3 star players only to sell them all the next season for 10% of the cost. Everton miss out on Auto European Football but qualify through Intertoto Cup. Yobo is sold to Arsenal for 10 million, and along with DM 10 million Everton have 20 million to spend. AJ arrives from Palace with Killer going the other way and Vaughan on a season long loan = Value of deal estimated 4.5 million. Deduk arrive from across the park for 3.5 million. Wright leaves the club for Ipswich in a deal worth 1.2 million Weir, Stubbs, Nig and Fergy retire from professional Football, as does Gary Breen after failing a medical at Everton. Brum and WBA are relegated and DM known for his transfer nowse brings in promising young WBA defender Davies for 2.5m and Upson for 3.5 million. After weeks of haggling Farrari signs in a deal worth 3 million over 30 years to Roma. Everton are left with just over 4 million in the coffers and with Shef Utd missing out on promotion DM spends 2.8m of this on Jagielka and Tounge with Carsley going the opposite way. The remaining 1.5 going on Nugent. Neville gets the No 4 shirt and Cap, Beattie No 9 with AJ no 10, Cahill no 8. I am just a little downhearted that we are in the position where we have to shop around at the lower levels and look for bargains or "one for the future". One day we will return to former glory and be able to shop at Harrods and not Netto. ATB Mac
