Its in the sun today.

Says that the Arse want him and will get him for 3m.

Joey has 1 more year on his deal and won't sign a new one.

We will sell this summer so we get some money back.

Just as we have turned the corner and need to keep the better players there deals are running out and want to join a bigger club.

Also says that going for HOward.

Martyn will be offered a new deal but Wright won;t

hmmm. don't know how true this is, but i wouldn't be suprised given the fact that too old timers are keeping him out the team with at times not too impressvie performances.

If moyes had any eye on the future of the club he wouldn't be playing both of the older centre backs, weather they are playing well or not. there is no risk in playing joey, he's a top class player.

yes leaving him out encourages him to play better but if he never gets another chance then that's a waste of time isn't it!

i agree with you. although experience has helped us in recent times i think we do need to start looking to the future.

Yobo is an international player and deserves to stay in the squad.

As for Wright if he goes i dont thik that it will be sop badd... We could go for sumone like Cudicini if he isnt content with earning his wages on the bench as chelsea

Nice that Joey kept a dignified silence when we where bottom early in the season, cos i expected him to be unhappy with the Nations Cup on the horizon.

Its a bit annoying that he is being kept out by a couple of old timers, so you can understand how he feels, and lets face it, the thought of going to Arsenal would turn most players Heads.

The problem i have with this rumour is the price, who the f**k could we get as a replacement for £3M, Moysey must put him straight back into the side This W/end.

As for the Goalie situation..................................bring back Tommy Myhre. ;)

Typical Everton way of doing things tbh,ive never been a huge fan of yobo great first season but really hasnt done it all the time for me.

As for the fee,its the way of football im afraid,he could just wind down his contract and walk for nothing next year

I too think he is inconsistent, but sometimes he can look awesome others he can look a joke (MANURE BACKPASS TO NAME ONE)

He is still young though and I wish he would sign a new contract

Regarding that NEW contract. I have heard absolotly nowt on that subject

Has one been offered????

Better the devil you know and Joey has got all the tools in his locker. Look at the money we paid for Kroldshite

I would love to see both joey and Ferrari stay on as, from what i,ve seen of him, he too is very useful

Got to be worth more than £3m...

but as always, since the Bosman ruling, if we dont sell him now for a cut down price, he will walk for nothing in a years time...and in the time between then and now he will happily sit in the stands and refuse to co-operate (if he is that way inclined).

Hopefully we will keep him...if not, hopefully we will get at least £5m (if not more) and if not then hopefully we will learn from it and be tougher with our players or get a director of football in to negotiate the signings for Moyes and BK!!!

If Yobo reads this site - STAY AT Everton - we are the only club in the country that cares about its players and commits to looking after them long after they have finished playing - as Labone, McKenzie, Sharp...

Players these days dont need looking after, they're all millionaires and do you really thing most of them give a shit, hes an african and a proffesional. We'll never see him for dust once hes bled us dry. Not that I blame him

Have to keep Yobo as if not who else is going to play in the centre of defence for the next few years. Haven't heard Ferrari's name for a while so guessing he'll be off to Italy next year and Weir is way past his sell by date and should really hang up his boots at the end of the season or only be a backup player. Stubbs is also getting on and after him there is no one in the squad who specialises in centre defence. I think Yobo might stay but it will take an increased contract and Moyes will have to show him how much he means to the squad. A good way to start would be removing Weir and putting Yobo with Stubbs.

If Yobo went and played for a team in the Champions league i would expect him to go on and be one of the worlds best defenders. If he cuts out the silly errors form time to time he is world class. He relies on his pace to get him out of trouble when he ball watches sometimes but that will change with a bit of experience. I do hope he stays but unless he signs a new contract expect him to go just like Tommy.

We have had very little joy out of the lad, he makes silly mistakes, loses concentration very easily. If we can get more for him than we paid let's get rid.

I get the feeling we are holding on to him in the hope his potential will shine through at some point, I say let's not hold our breath flog him and buy British.

Everton are white, Everton are white, ello ello!

Only joking but thats how it came accross

If he is looking for regular european football we must sell because an unhappy player is no good to anyone and it would be a pitty to watch him go for free. Sell him and bring in no replacement tho' and we will loose alot more in January because the others will all think we have no ambition.

TOO TRUE FOZZIE

Yeah but the fact is that THEY may not know how lucky they are, but their agents and family do...

Therefore, they grab what they can while they can - making hey whilst the sun shines...

is that any different to what any other normal working human does?!

Hope we dont lose him, but if we do, then we do!

If the reports today are true that he has had the contract for a year and not signed then can't see him staying.

The problem we have is that Weir and Stubbs shouldn't be here next season which will leave us with no centre backs.

So what will happen is that Yobo will go and we will end up signing Weir and Stubbs for another year.

If he does not want to stay sell him in the summer and use the money to buy another one (or use the money to buy a ferrari)

I have re-read this one I see where you are coming from Fishman, but that was not my intention. If we can buy a British defender as a replacement, I care not a jot on his colour, religion or sexuality, as long as the b*gger can defend.
