I just had to delete my topic because you beat me by a few seconds :P .

That's a very tough draw, I'm disappointed :( . I at least wanted a home draw before we went out :P . Nar, if we play like we have been we're more than a match for them and we could knock them out.

I believe if we carry on our good form and get a good striker in we can win them both. Hopefully by then Gerrard will be in prison. COYB!

I've had Liverpool in the FA Cup on FIFA a few times and beaten them, lets hope that it goes the same in the real world. If they don't play thier best players we have a more than enough chance of progressing into the next round. I just hope that we can handle the Anfield nerves.

Luckypool away!.......Can't see the problem!

To win the cup we would have encounted a couple of the so called rich big boys somewhere along the line.So lets get one out of the way earlly.

Who pulls all of their strings?.....Who makes the chances for Torres?.......Who might have a lot on his mind around about that time :)

We just need a tad of luck.....and a ref who hasn't got a signed Gerrard shirt

I can't believe it I said two things while this happend... Everton are never one of the first drawn and I bet ya we get Liverpool and I was right on both things!

It's really unlucky but I think if we take Torres out in the derby we will have a chance in the Fa Cup lol :P

If the games played on the Friday, isn't that the day Stevie G laaaaarrrrrrrrrrr goes to court. Now i wonder if the case will be put back due to mitigating circumstances. Me, Bitter, nope just realistic.

Tricky draw. Ces't La Vie. Being a realist I can't see a victory in either of the two games against them, but question for everyone here, what would you prefer, a victory in the league or a victory in the cup?

Cup

(+)
We go through and get closer to the final
(+)We keep our hopes of silverware alive
(+)We are the team that knock the shite out of the cup
(+)We have the confidence from beating a Top 4 team and dominate against others.

League

(+)We stop the shite from pulling away at the top of the Premeirship
(+)We knock them off thier good run and hopefully put them on a bad one
(+)Allow the other 'Top 3' capitalise on this
(+)We improve our league position
(+)We can say that we won a derby this season - at Anfield

Absolutely made up with this tie.

Would I be right in saying it's the first Liverpool-Everton tie since the 89 final or have we more recently?

No you wouldn't, there was the famous 4 -4 ties in the early 90's (?), which was a replay at Goodison following a no score draw at analfield.
For the record Everton won the third game 1 - 0 at Goodison (Dave Watson).

I think it's the first since then but could be wrong??

Me being as blue as I am, absolutely love this draw.

In 2 games, we can single handedly shatter their confidence.

There is no question in my mind that we want the Cup more this year. My initial gut says we end up drawing it 1-1 or 2-2 with a replay at Goodison.

I think the League game may be tougher, but it's the derby. Anything can (and will) happen.

COYB! :D

Wasn't that 4-4 game at Goodison after a 0-0 at anfield?.......Then a 1-0 win at Goodison.That led to dalglish doing a runner!!

Seriously back to this 4th round tie!

On the subject of Captain fantastic who knows what his situation will be.He is obviously key as someone has written, they can cope without Torres, they can't without Gerrard.

It will be a funny few days around those two games, a draw or defeat in the league will be a disaster for them, that would be followed by frantic cup tie that they would have to win.....Pressure, pressure pressure, let's hope they are ok with that.
surely luckypool top of the table mega million pound team, having a fair share of luck this season can't lose at HOME to Everton with no money!, and no decent fit Strikers?......Can they

They would have been hoping for a really easy tie in the 4th round, it will be a busy period for them, and they would have rested a few players.....they won't be resting players against US!

I think the reds will be more nervous about this draw than we are .

They have a few tough matches of their own in that period , and the last thing they wanted was to play us twice .

Last time they played teams twice , they came unstuck at both Arsenal and Spurs

We have nothing to lose here as underdogs , so I say bring it on . This is what football is all about , and if they beat us they beat us ............

BUT IF THEY DON'T ......................... :D Bragging rights are ours :D

However very bad timing!
It's such a shame we don't have any strikers! :(
With Saha or The Yak we would have a much bigger chance of beating liverpool and the other big clubs, I think
Also Fellaini will be missed when suspended
