think a bit of a reality check is needed here so we've got in early whop-de-do that leaves everyone else to strenghen there sides

we know that the likes of bolton, wigan have cash on the hip spurs will the arse will and most others apart from villa tbh so its a long summer to go yet transfer wise.

there is a downside to getting players in early and of course its that the opposition can see we've bought and they no doubt will act accordingly

I think we should be looking for a place in Europe! We have good enough players that can play Europion football, and if we are finishing outside of it, Bigger clubs who r in Europe will take the likes of our Arteta ect. Soo for me Europe! :D :P

We all know what a terrible start we had last season, but we turned it around, But if you look at our last 6 games at the end of the season we fell away again, especially at home.
Our last 3 home games were against the 3 relegated teams B.ham, W Brom, and Sunderland and we didnt win one of them, if we had have done it would have been 6 more points and 7th place in the league.

SO ON THAT BASIS WE MUST BE AIMING FOR THE TOP SIX....AT LEAST. :D

If we don't get too many injuries, then top 6. Moyes & Irvine will all have pre-season with the new squad to get them ready and the tactics well bedded in by all.

I also predict a Cup Final appearance! Now wouldn't that be nice.

If the boards hadnt have crashed you would have seen that i said 10th last time out as well

The board are terrible the sooner we find new investment the better,3 signings will help but the overall squad sie hasnt increased

We should be aiming for sixth, with a bit of luck and few injuries

Chelski, manure, RS, and ARSE are the top for, we can realisically compete with the rest.

If we get the players moyes wants and we start seeing the real VDM and Davies I really think we can do well

Agree with fozzie, 10th would be good and getting off to a better start than last season.

I think we have a good first 11 now but with an injury to anyone of AJ, Arteta, Cahill, Beattie of one of the central defenders and we're struggling again.

Moysie will be pushing the squad for a European top six spot no matter what he says in the press. Johnson will be all out to impress along with Van Der Meyde which is a mouth watering prospect if Arteta and Cahill are on form. Assuming we get Lescott all we need is a quality right winger and 6th is doable barring an injury crisis.

IMHO we are by far the best of the mid table aiming for Europe, the only thing that stops us getting there year in year out has been goals and now hopefully that problem is sorted or atleast vastly improved

Goals have been a problem for so long I think Lineker was the last to score over 20 when we won the league. The goalless draws and one nils we lost last year can be swapped for 3 points if Beattie and Johnson form a good understanding. We are defo better than Wigan, West Ham and Blackburn. Our contendors will be Newcastle who have a good squad and Bolton - boring as fuck but they grind out results although without Okocha they could slide.

Look how we Butchered the start & end's of the last campaign & 6th is not beyond us with additions etc.

However & more realisticly top 10 is a must.

I would just like to see an improvement, continued improvement's until we seriously & regulary contend for the lucrative finishing places.
