adamsmith69
No go for nakata. nolan is strictly a central midfielder i think. and i dont want luke young. hibbert should have got into the england squad ahead of him anyway.
Romey 1878
Luke Young isnt in the England squad is he? I dont think Hibbert is good enough for England anyway

Bluetrip
Portsmouth have offered SW Phillips a seasons loan. If theres a small chance he'd consider moving away to put himself in the shop window or get back into the England set-up we should be in for him as well. GoldfishMemory
I agree, damien duff is another we should be monitoring!
Romey 1878
Id definitely take SWP, but Duff is not likely to come to us - probably the shite
GoldfishMemory
Spurs are in the driving seat at the mo' and although they have made more progress than us lately surely we cant be that far behind them in the pecking order!
Romey 1878
Its all about perceptions players have as clubs though isnt it, and Duff probably perceives Spurs as a more go forward team in the transfer market with all the youngsters they have bought. What he fails to see though is that most midfielder that go to Spurs leave within 6 months due to lack of games, at Everton he would probably play every game

Imagine Howard Hibbert Lescott Yobo Valente Osman Cahill Arteta Duff Johnson Beattie Or put Neville / Cars in the holding roll and play Arteta on the right, thats quite a team! bluemonkey
He plays for Bayern Munich, Ithink he would be a great buy but I doubt we could afford or attract him here. He was linked with Chelsea the other day and I'm sure loads of teams have been watching his performances.
GoldfishMemory
He would be a good buy to play left mid but IMO and that of every pundit so far in this world cup he has very little defensive quality.
