well we seem to be doing fine without one atm. Since Irvine left we've seen out game style change for the better too, all this neat pass and go play.

Helped that the players who can pass and go gained proper match fitness and were used to each other as well. Find it unlikely that Irvine was stopping pass and go, as you seem to be insinuating.

always hated that phrase. i mean the sentiment is right, and i agree with what your saying, but how can you fix something that's not broken in the first place?

I agree. I wouldn't want him as our assistant manager but I have no problem with him being on the coaching staff.

I agree as well, I like Stubbs but when I've heard him speak I've never thought that he seemed top class management material. He seems like a decent honest bloke rather than a masterminded tactician. I'd rather we got in someone with a real pedigree, maybe even someone from abroad who can inject some new ideas and increase the flair!

What is it about the way Stubbs speaks that makes you think that?

And it'd be great to have him on the coaching staff IMO.

don't mind him on the coaching staff, particularly defensive coaching, but I just don't fancy him as management/assistant material.

i think we might just see natural progression Andy Holden to Assistant, Stubbsy to Reserve team coach.
