Honour Or Disgrace?

Recommended Posts

Ah, Slaen Bilic...with his squad number of 28...when he actually arrived.

The guy who kept us waiting....and waiting, he claimed he needed to honour West Ham, but it was really because he wanted to pick up a several hundred thousand pound bonus at the end of the season.

When he then joined Everton, but supended than he did on the pitch...went to the World Cup, play brilliant, returned and flounded at Everon. Marvellous!

We seem to have attracted them in the past! Hopefully that's behind us now.

Koldrup...I went to a pre-season fixture at Goodison and saw him. Was completely uninspired and unconvinced with him...

Quite right, Koldrup is a disgrace, however, I think Everton were sold a lemon with him...Apparently, Moyes was acting on information given to him by a leading EFC scout...sadly.

I think we should research our prospective purchases better than we do....hopefully, did!

Felt sorry for Blanc after that game tho Bilic got him sent off and then Blanc was suspended for the final which was his last game for France and France's finest hour if I was Blanc I would still be miffed at him for that, what Ronaldo did seems pretty minor in comparison.

Does anybody remember the pre season friendly at Tranmere when an aged Aldo ran Slav ragged

and they laced us 3-0.The writing was on the wall.

Brett Angel and Stuart Barlow were our strikeforce at one point. Not so much villains as completely shte, they were dark times.

They were the two subs for the Wimbledon game, good job we didn't need them. (and I still think "Jigsaw" is one of the funniest (and cleverest) nicknames of all time  .)

My memories of the early nineties are a bit addled but I'm pretty sure Barlow couldn't stop scoring for the reserves, but the records show that he only got thirteen goals in eighty-eight appearences for the first team...just couldn't make the step up sadly.
