java2001e
the article states that a bid will/may be made before the start of the season. so the boards denial doesnt mean that there isnt an interested party. it also states that a bid of 80 mill., values Everton at 40 mill., because we have about 40 mill., in debt. its reasonable to assume that there are people interested. we know that villa have been approached and i suspect that Everton are a much better buy than villa any day of the week. the glazers manu grab doesnt seem to have led to any serious fan fallout, so an american buyer may not be too bad, even tho they dont understand the game. any negotiations will be strictly confidential so we wont hear anything until its all done and dusted. give it a fortnight! Guest fozzie22
£40mill in debt??? Thought we'd reduced from that quite a bit?Put's my overdraft in to perspective anyway! 42045[/snapback] All we did was a take out another massive loan secured against season ticket sales for the next 30 odd years,so in fact we're still massivly in debt, just one we can afford to pay. But still meaningless bollocks becuase it WONT happen.

Randomness
The club also has £40m of debt. we need to audit the club. how can we make a profit of £60M before transfers and yet have £5M increase on our debts.
