iggy
No new signings just yet according to DM SIGNINGS NOT IMMINENT David Moyes has revealed that he is not close to adding to his squad. He said he was still looking to bolster the ranks before the August 31 transfer deadline, but that no deal was looming. Moyes said: "I'm still hopeful that we can bring someone in before the deadline but there is nothing imminent. "We are still looking and will continue to do so." The manager also believes his squad's preparations for the forthcoming season are going well. "They are very close to being ready. There are three or four who could do with a few weeks more training but the majority of them are going to be ready to start. "We will train on Saturday. I'm not sure about Sunday yet, we'll get Saturday's session out of the way first. "We are now getting into the final furlong to get ready for the new season." Zed
Doesnt supprise me at all Anyway, there was a really good article in the echo last night. David prentice interviewed Alan Irvine, who was talking about how the squad had benefitted from the USA trip and it was much better than thailand. He also talked about the FRIENDLIES and how they where an extenstion of training and that although they would like to win it was not the most important thing and he was glad that they were not involved in a tournemant as he didnt believe it was the best preparation All in all it looks as though things are going well Heres a link to the whole article for all you bellends <<<<<<<<<<<<< CLICK ME NOW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Adams
I cant see us making any decent signings before the window closes. We might get Buckley on loan or Moyes might even sign him . He will add depth to our squad and i have herad hes a decent player. Tommy G will be going cheap and Moyes might be tempted to bring him back, id love to see him down but as long as we dont pay to much, Tommys probaly got 2/3 good years ahead of him Other than that i cant see any one else coming in unless its on loan or cheap
Romey 1878
Moyes is talking about frees and loans so i cant see Grav being one of the players we may get, Buckley is a possibility though. He's probably not even looking at anyone and has come out with this crap so that we think we have a chance of signing someone.
thebluenose
or maybe we have someone in talks and doesnt want to spill the beans so newcastle cant steal him

Adam
To be fair I think that if he had people in the pipe line then he would have said that doesn't have to name names. I don't think that we will get anyone else in to be honest. All this signing hopefully towards the end of the window is just a screen for no new signings. If RM want rid of Grav then they will let him go on loan or for nearly nothing
java2001e
i suspect that the bank has closed and that any new signings will be freebies, like buckley, or loans like howard.
Romey 1878
If the bank really is closed then there wont even be any loans of frees because they will still cost money in wages
Adams
But with a loan we dnt always have to pay all there wages
Romey 1878
Thats upto the club who is letting the player go, they dont have to offer to pay half the wages
Adams
yea but i think they would go halves with us if they were sending him out on loan unless another club offered to pay more
Willo
I can't really see anyone else coming in now but tbh i think the squad looks in relativly good nick as it is . Would love to see Grav come back but thats got Noocastle syndrome written all over it . Thought Buckley looked good but he's gone back to Dortmund and looks unlikely to come as nothing been sorted yet and probably would have had we wanted him . Still think we need another quality right back as Hibberts crossing and passing ability alarms me and you need to have more about you game than just defending when playing at full back these days . Adam
Don't say that Pat or we will all be on here again on 31st August til midnight waiting for what ever his name was to give us an update when the cars arrive at Goodison Park. And then all be disapointed when noone signs. However we are still being linked with this Saviola so maybe a little bit of truth in it and BK is out buying a savaloy

Moyski
If it happens it happens, some people seem obsessed with transfer news.
Adam
Dm says one thing and then get AI to come out and say the truth http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/blue...with-squad.html Why not just come out and say that there will be no more signings a month ago when we all thought that there would not be any. Seems that Buckley is a no and also Grav is a no as well

Sibierski is available on a free transfer after dropping down the pecking order at City, following the arrival of several new faces at Eastlands this summer. The news has alerted several clubs with the 32-year-old's free transfer status and his versatility making him an attractive proposition for any interested parties. Everton are leading the chase for the skilful Frenchman and are hoping to lure him to Goodison
