Keith [Harris], the transition to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is, of course, an enormous project for the Club. Recent progress includes the 19-day public consultation, which ended several weeks ago and drew an outstanding response, and the confirmation of a proposed capacity of 52,000 with potential to expand to 62,000...

It’s important to reiterate this is what we are working towards. It’s a proposed capacity at this stage, which will be subject to further consultation and engagement, and the potential is there for expansion. We will have a degree of flexibility during a possible period of discussion on safe standing. This is a really significant option to have in the future. We want to be able to reproduce and even enhance as much of the Goodison atmosphere as possible in the new stadium.

Of course, there is still much work to be done. This will not only establish a new home for the Club in an iconic setting on the Liverpool waterfront, it will provide a regenerative boost for the entire city region and a legacy at Goodison that we can all be proud of. So we are all very focussed on a project the scale and ambition of which can most certainly be characterised as huge for the Club.

With the second-stage public consultation taking place this summer, the Club will present designs for the first time...

Yes, a lot of work has gone into design and, of course, it is continuing to be honed. The site itself is fantastic, but we have challenges. The fact that the stadium is being built on a dock is an obvious one, along with infrastructure and transportation links. But the end result – next to the Mersey, glowing in the northern part of the docks, the culture and some of the historical legacy of Everton stamped upon it – will be incredible. We’re all very enthused by this. I’ve seen stadia all over the world, I’ve been involved in many stadium projects, including Wembley, and I think I can say with complete confidence and conviction that I haven’t seen anything that will look as good as this will. It will truly be something that will inspire.

Everton are being linked to Gabriel Barbosa from Inter Milan, and not for the first time.

Tutto Mercato Web brings a story today claiming the Toffees are interested in getting the Brazilian striker on a loan with an option to buy, and have already ‘knocked on the door’ of the Nerazzurri about it.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, have other plans.

They’re not really interested in keeping him once he returns from his loan at Santos, but they would rather sell him on a permanent basis instead of loaning him out again.

Inter paid €30m to sign him two years ago, and now they’re said to be demanding half of that price. So the Toffees would have to spend around €15m on the Brazilian.

Everton have been handed a two-year academy transfer ban after being found guilty of breaking Premier League tapping-up rules.

Telegraph Sport can reveal the Merseyside club have also been fined following an inquiry prompted by allegations over their pursuit of a schoolboy who now plays for Manchester United.

At least one journalist says the fine was £500k.

Andy Spence has left his role as Head Coach of Everton Ladies.

The Club would like to express its gratitude to Andy for the service he has given to the Ladies team.

A permanent appointment will be made as soon as possible and, in the interim, goalkeeping coach Jennifer Herst will take temporary charge.

Ibrahim Said has reflected back on his time at English Premier League outfit Everton with David Moyes and how it went in England.

Ibrahim Said started off by talking about his personality. “He is a tough manager, he’s not the type of manager that you would sit and talk with.” He stayed in Everton for a very short time in 2003 in which he didn’t play any competitive match.

“The weird thing that Moyes was the one who asked for me, he’s the one who discovered me as a player. He went to the Everton board and told them I want Ibrahim Said” revealed Said when talking with Mido.

Mido went on to ask him how his attitude changed after being benched for five consecutive matches without any minutes off the bench. “I didn’t give up or get bored at all, my attitude never changed in training. I was going to play the match against Liverpool as a starter but then I dyed my hair red and I didn’t play.” said the Egyptian center back.

“Suddenly Moyes sent me to the B team to train and play matches with them, I put in some great displays but I still didn’t get my chance in the first team. When I got fed up I asked him why I’m not playing and he told me that he’s preparing me for next season.” continued Said.

“Moyes had many problems not just with me but with other players, even Rooney. He is a dictator and doesn’t know how to win the players,” Said concluded.

Understandably, a lot has also been said about funding. Like all developments of this size and nature, the funding is complex. We have a number of options available to us. Liverpool City Council is one of those options and there are other opportunities we are exploring too. Any deal we do will be the best deal for Everton Football Club.

According to a source close to Lookman, the 20-year-old is set to announce his decision to switch his allegiance to Nigeria.

This is after he turned down the opportunity to switch his allegiance to Nigeria after a meeting with the Amaju Pinnick who is the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) earlier in 2018.

Although it not known what changed his stance, Pulse Sports source revealed the 20-year-old has made up his mind to play for Nigeria.

“An announcement will be made soon, I’m close to his management and they have confirmed that he has made the decision,” the Pulse Sports source said.
