  1. Mate, How do you think we feel!! we are heartbroken over it!! at least we will get to go to a few new grounds on away days and 2 True Birmingham derby games..that is unless The Unwashed from Small Heath get promoted!! that would just be the final insult in our demise!! arrgghh!! We wont be back anytime soon unless major changes are done at Villa!! From top to bottom! Good luck for the rest of the Season!
  2. Our in our case we are "Customers" according to our new Chairman!!
  3. Well done to you guys tonight, not that it needed much effort to beat us! Dont feel Everton got out of 2nd or maybe even first gear tonight, you did not need to!! Seems a few of your travelling support joined in with our chants about Lerner and Fox!! Loved it!! Good luck with the new owners/investors and maybe we will have you back at Villa Park in a few years!! but its goodbye for now from The Vill!!

    Villa

Even during last season when we played shite and never won much (7 games!!) we had a record number of draws (17) and only lost 14 times (i say only!! lmao) but my point is we were still pretty hard to beat for the most part!! our losses (14) are the same as Fultham and Liverpool! (8th and 9th last term) and the comments from some expecting a 0-3 or 0-2 loss for the Villa are a bit foolish imo! but then again i could be eating humble pie by 1700 on Saturday!

    Villa

Thats the thing most Villans are happy with, some very nice passing football and we seemed to donminate the play in the middle of the park for the most part, these are good signs for the future as we looked totally clueless last season....it was really upsetting to watch a team with no drive, motivation or togetherness! I still think we can get our first points of the season in a near sell out crowd! i would love it to be a win but a draw would be a start against a Everton team who i really think can challenge for honours this season, maybe not the league but certainly the Cups!

    Villa

Have to disagree about Vlaar, he could become the new McGrath but without the hangovers!! lol We do have some really talented players like Ireland,N'Zogbia,Given,Bent and Agbonlahor, but we are trying to blood quite a few of our academy graduates as well! the likes of Bannan, Gardner,Clark,Baker and Weinmann have really had to hit the ground running last term, most aquitted themselves as best they could under the negative negative defensive tactics of McLeish. I aways look at things through Claret and Blue tinted Glasses!! lol

    Villa

Our Chairman has made some real mistakes since taking charge of Villa, no question about that. But the Club and Fans seem to be on the same page where rebuilding and moving the club forward is concerned, Lambert will be given time and freedom to put his changes in to effect at Villa. I honestly like the way many opposition Fans have written Villa off this season, understandable but i think we are to be underestimated at your peril!
  8. 2 Million and i will throw in a Toffee Crisp (see what i did there? lol ) and a can of Tango!! Randy Lerner will assure the 2 million will be in your bank by noon tomorrow if you agree! P.S - If you take Warnock aswel we will throw in another 2 million and a Bounty bar!! Now thats a good deal!!....please!
  9. LMAO! but is ok now, i am happier now i am reserve team! Actually thought i had put Female as my Gender when signing up! Phew!
  10. Being a Mod on http://avillafan.com (sneak advertising i know ) i will of course be respectful, i save my Venom for the Red Scum of Liverpool! see we have something in common already!!lololol

    Villa

With respect i think many of you are underestimating Aston Villa, if you look at what the Club has gone through in the last 2 seasons its no surprise we are now seen as whipping boys! But we have a new found unity between both Fans and Club, yes i know it sounds a bit cheesy but it is true! The west ham result was not the best but the signs of improvement are there along with some very tasty looking signings in Vlaar,Almadi and Holman, the game itself was pretty crap and without making excuses the goal should not have been allowed but hey ho! The heat was unreal and affected both teams, But we are a Club who is in recovery and change takes time, Paul Lambert will be given this time and when you visit Villa Park the Atmosphere will be rocking ( i hope lol) compare to the last 2 seasons! 2-2 and a cracking game! watch out for Brett Holman who is my pick for surprise package of the season! the one and only thing we Villa Fans have to thank Alex McLeish for !!
  12. Hi one and all! just to be clear i am a visiting Aston Villa Fan and would just like to say hello, get a few views and maybe stick around depending on the welcome (or lack thereof!! lol) I have to say i truely admire Everton and David Moyes as a Club and manager, always keep an eye on your results as lets face it, you could lose to Hull on a wednesday and then beat Man U on the Saturday!! your Team has that little something that i hope Paul Lambert brings to Villa after 2 years of pain! Any hoo, i think what i was supposed to say was Hello!!
  13. Fellini played as close to a perfect game as i have ever seen! to say it was a monumental performance would be doing him a disservice! A key Player for Everton this season imo! i think if the team as a whole can build on this performance Spurs will have their work cut out keeping you at bay!
  14. Hello once again from avillafan.com, and just as last year i am coming to you cap in hand for your help in our regular feature. If anyone would take the time to answer the questions below for our main page and Members to view and discuss i would be very grateful! toffeetalk.com will get full credit and links to your site will be posted on our site! thanks for your help! 1. Congratulations on your opening day win against Manchester United, But Everton have become well known as slow starters but coming on strong in the second half of the season. Why do you think that is and can you be more consitant this season? 2. David Moyes has continued to do a fantastic Job with very limited finances avaliable, he has also managed to hold on to his big name players for the most part, what do you think his secret is? 3. Everton claimed the bragging rights after finishing above Liverpool last season, and i can see you doing it again this season but more convincingly, do you feel the balance of power could be shifting in Liverpool? 4. How do you feel about Aston Villa as a Club and our Fans? 5. Aston Villa lost in a close game with West Ham on the opening day of the season but many Villa Fans are were happy to see an improvement from the way we were playing last season, and under Paul Lambert we are once again united in support of our Manager. How do you think Villa will do this term and over the next few seasons? 6. Charles N'Zogbia and Stephen Ireland are two very talented Footballers without a doubt, but have constantly underperformed during their time with Villa, what are your thoughts on these Players? 7. Who are your picks for the top four and bottom three this season and why? 8. Who are you looking forward to play the most and why? 9. Which player do you think will cause Villa the most trouble during the match? and which Villa Players are you concerned about? 10. Finally, Match predictions! The best response will be published on our main site page. Thanks in advance and i wish you all the best for the coming season!! with the exception of two games of course!
