    Abject garbage. Koeman sets us out to play negative football (at fucking home of all places), and we can't even stop them from playing.

    Yeah. Koeman's tactics aside, we should remember that we're without the two primary focal points of our attacking play from the past few years. It's going to take time for everyone to gel.

    We could use a player with pace and playmaking ability. But, that won't matter much if Koeman keeps up with these negative tactics. If all we're doing is trying to contain our opponents, we aren't going to be a well-oiled attacking machine. There's plenty of quality in the squad, and they're being utilized in ways that negate their abilities at the moment.

    That's not the point. It's the roles and positions they were asked to play and the availability of players to link our play. Only to a certain point is it the actual players. But, you could've put just about anyone in there with the tactics Koeman set up and they would've failed just as miserably.

    I don't know what they're supposed to do. I don't know that they know what they're supposed to do. He has set them up for failure. What are they going to do? Create their own new shape on the fly in defiance of the manager?

    In the first leg, he was their primary threat and caused us a lot of problems on his own. He was a bit anonymous in the second leg. But, he seems like he's got some potential.

    You're right. But, the issue is still that he had the breathing room to attempt anything other than a backwards pass. We're lackadaisical in our defending.
