  1. I liked Duffy, thought he never really got the chance at Everton. A couple of seasons ago he looked decent. Let's see how he gets on at Blackburn. Good luck to him
  2. Delph as in the one at Villa? If it was a choice between Welbeck and Delph, or even Eto'o I would pick Welbeck. He is such a hard worker, good passer of the ball as well. Just wouldn't see where he would play. Would we change the formation, who would we drop, Naismith is playing well behind the striker. Would we play 2 up top if we got Welbeck or what?
  3. If it was between Defoe and Eto'o I would pick Defoe as he would be cheaper on wage a week. Get him on an 8 week loan or something. I do know what Paddock is saying as well, his experience would be invaluable to the squad. Could mentor Lukaku, great striker but not worth the reported 100k a week.
  4. From what I've seen so far off Fer I don't think he is anything special. McCarthy is so much more of a hard worker. Anyway back to the topic in hand, what position does Ofoe play? I know we aren't in for him but just wondering that's all.
  5. Overall we played well, caused Arsenal problems and looked the better team overall. We can't blame the referee though, Naismith goal was offside and Giroud did pull on Distin shirt but it's part of the game. The team played well and overall good performance.
  6. I'm not complaining, I just think with this deal we did announce it a bit to early. We said a deal was agreed, someone must have done a bit of research on him and found he got injured with a knee problem when ever it was.....If there was any doubt about his knee, then we should have kept it quiet as much as possible. That's all I am saying. A scout can watch a player and say yeah he is good, he will fit in the Everton team. Which is good yeah but are you telling me that Everton don't have someone who does research into each player to see the injury file and everything else.
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21258729 He has declined Chelsea talks but I just don't see us going for him at all. He is a good player he showed that in the Olympics. I just don't think Moyes will drop Howard and put Butland in nets instead. I would love to see him here but like everyone says Liverpool need a keeper as Reina has been shite most season, Brad Jones is even more awful. The only good game he had was against us in the FA cup semi.
  8. I agree, I do think that Everton did announce it to early. Knowing our luck though someone else will come in and go we will pay the full amount for him....probably QPR. ;-)
  9. Ba didn't fail the medical at Everton he failed it at Stoke. Then Stoke weren't interested but Everton were, West Ham showed interest and he chose to go to them over us. We probably would have signed him if it wasn't for West Ham. Also what Everton are doing is the right thing anyway. We said we would give them 8.6 million providing he passes a medical. He failed his medical so all Everton are saying is we will pay you in instalments. We don't want to be spending 8.6 mil on a player who then gets injured and is out for the season. I would rather pay 3 million up front and then if he goes the rest of the season without getting injured we pay the rest of the money.
  10. I am excited for this signing. Do you think he will be able to cope with life in the premier league though? I know he has the ability by watching the videos, quick, good passer but is this going to be another player who gets injured because the league is much quicker. Where will Gibbo play though boys?
  11. I would like a comfortable win and like I hope your right with the Odemwingie transfer. I think that West Brom are on a poor run of form at the moment but I feel another draw is on the cards and 1-1 will be the score. I hope Fellaini is dropped back to midfield. We need someone who controls the passing, when we played Southampton we were shocking. Osman and Neville couldn't keep the ball to save their lives. In the second half from 60 - 75 min we couldn't keep the ball for more than 6 seconds. Then when Fellaini dropped back and Neville went into RB we showed a bit more promise, again we didn't exactly play great but we showed better signs than we did. I don't know why Moyes insists on putting Fellaini upfront, it worked for one game against united. Doesn't mean it is going to work in every game. Hopefully we can win but to me if we play Felli upfront we won't. WBA defenders aren't exactly small and if we hoof the ball upfield and they header the ball away I would rather have felli pick it up and pass it than him trying to header the ball and losing out.
  12. I am like everyone else with saying I don't think is good enough, watching him play his touches are awful. He doesn't run for the ball as much as other players, gives the ball away. OK he can defend which is good and does track back but going forward he doesn't look comfortable at all. If we played him where Jela is I do think he would get them in though. At the moment when he does get a chance he is snatching at them and is not playing like he did at Rangers. He isn't a great player but he is a hard worker and I do believe given time he will start to perform.
  13. I really doubt it will be us, unless Moyes is thinking about getting rid of Heitinga (6 mil possibly.) Then with that money we can afford 3 mil and then the add ons. Who knows, with Everton though there will be something on the last day of the transfer window.

    Swansea

Against Swansea, we were desperate to get a goal from somewhere. Naismith hasn't impressed me on the right wing, he seems to lose the ball, can't keep hold of it and can't make a run when a pass comes towards him either. I agree with people when they say if he was given the CF role he would blossom. He has got talent but Moyes just needs to find a way to get it out of him.....somehow.
  15. Yeah, but the problem is when a player has had an injury like that its hard to recover from. Look at the likes of Rodwell, who didn't have injuries but seems to tweak it now and again. (I know don't talk about shitteh players). Gibson had injury problems before he came to Everton as well, once a player has had a bad hamstring problem it seems to reoccur time and time again. Hopefully I am wrong and this is the end of his problems and Gibbos.
