  1. I've heard that tip before Mac (very likely from yourself) and I can vouch for it!
  2. OK....I know you're all really excited by this but afraid to ask, so here are some shed construction photo's . Not painted yet (although I have trimmed the felt) but the problem is the wife's started nesting. First it has to be painted Cedar :sick01: rather than blue and today we've spent more than £200 in Ikea buying blinds, a rug, little table and another of those classic comfy chairs (LINK) that they do to add to mine which is already there having been transfered from the old shed. I'm beginning to worry that I may have to share .
  3. ....because you're worth it .
  4. My wife knows all about it because she watches Neighbours . It will teach you all you need to know  .
  5. Straight in with a bit of controversy . http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/7965056.stm I'm a big Jenson fan and I hope the bookies are right but making him favourite for Sunday seems a bit far-fetched to me . Think he (and Barichello) may well have parts of the race where they're fast but I don't think they'll win.
  6. The best bit of Oz rules (for me) is when the umpire makes that ridiculous gesture when a goal is scored. They look like my lad used to when he played at being a dalek . They're so serious about it, as if they're making some great revelation that no-one else knows about . The rest of it all seems a bit pointless, but that's what sport's all about I guess .
  7. If you refer to the site rules I think you'll find that any age jokes are to be exclusively directed at Bill. Anyone ignoring this vital fact is subject to a suspension of not less than forty-seven years. Please be more careful in the future .
  8. Quote from Mark Hughes... "There's a perception that there are issues between me and Robinho, and Robinho and his team-mates, and that everything is doom and gloom and the dressing room is fractured," "The truth is it's a lot closer to being a lot calmer than people would imagine." ...so it's close to being calmer than you think....which means in real English that it's not really very calm at all .
  9. I wet shave but I use disposables. Funny but I get a better shave with a "ten for a pound" razor than I do with an expensive multi-blade titanium flexi grip job .
  10. What is it with Americans when they come to name their children? Just taking a break for some toast and turned on a bit of sub-Jerry Springer nonsense to see the following.. Tiheria fears Preston may leave her and Akliah when he learns she is a flesh eating alien (OK so I made up the last bit but the names are real). Tiheria!? Akliah!? Some of the names they have are ludicrous; Deshawn was a memorable one I saw a while back. Do they just have a bag of scrabble letters in the delivery rooms and people go, "consonant, vowel, vowel, consonant" like on Countdown? It's bizzarre . Another family just on....Idivine, Janeisha and baby Dar'Tayvious .
  11. That's the new fangled "short scale" trillion though Taxi. When I was at school and we used old fashioned "long scale" a trillion was a million times the size of that! Hardly worth getting out of bed for .
  12. Dropped out/sent home... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/7960392.stm
  13. According FourTwoFour's rich list... 8. Lord Grantchester & The Moores Family (Everton) £1.2 billion Completely meaningless though, we've no access to it .
  14. Actually in 1776 Percival Maynard Brunswick III opened a small clock shop in Nempnett Thrubwell in Somerset. He was funded in his enterprise by one Ebenezer Baker, a local landowner and philanthropist, on the condition that he called his shop "Bakers." Unsurprisingly this caused much confusion among the local farming community who were forever coming in asking for a loaf of bread, to which Brunswick famously replied, "Fuck of you bastard, I'm a horologist, I told you that yesterday you inbred son of a sheep!" Inevitably however, due to the simple rules of supply and demand (very few in Nempnett Thrubwell could tell the time), Percival gave up and in 1781 bought a second hand oven from a man in Bath and began a very successful career making bread. Jimmy is too narrow in his thinking .
  15. Are we talking a specific pro snooker player or are you being all cryptc ?
  16. He's appealling it, may get off....I certainly thought it was harsh .
  17. Yup. One game only. "No abuse" and... "In relation to the incident when he punched the corner flag, the referee did not see that and we have written to Wayne Rooney reminding him of his responsibilities." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/7960276.stm
  18. You can have free run of mine mate....if you help me build it . 318 miles according to the AA Route finder, what time can you be here ? It arrived just as the rain came...predictable .
  19. Thank's Mark . Going mad here. Shed coming today but the delivery window is 7.00am to 7.00pm <_< . Was hoping to get a big chunk of it built today but it's looking less and less likely....BOLLOCKS!
  20. I've just been mapped . Google street view car just pulled up outside my house, didn't know what it was but a quick bit of research and I found out. Big Brother is watching me . Not my picture, found it online.
  21. Thanks Mac...she's fine. Phoned at 6.30 this morning (not the baby obviously ) in the throes of labour waiting for an ambulance and the nipper was born on the way to hospital. Shot out no problem apparently....bloody women always going on about the pain of childbirth, nothing to it I don't reckon .
  22. Portsmouth have offered a new contract to midfielder Sean Davis, who is being targeted by Everton and Bolton. (Daily Mirror)
  23. Fifth grandchild just clocked in this morning....another girl, puts them 4-1 up . At this rate I'm gonna have to form a ladies football team .
  24. That's exactly what we've had for the last few seasons Taxi (3,2,1 for 1st, 2nd & 3rd) and we decided to change it because the majority felt it didn't give an accurate picture . For example (again extreme), a player puts in a decent shift every game but is never outstanding....gets rated fourth or fifth every week. Ends the season with no points at all . It's a tough one. Keep the thoughts coming though and we'll make a decision over the summer.
