  1. Surprised Ledley King's in given his knee problem....didn't know it was quite so serious... "King suffers from a debilitating problem in his right knee that prevents him from doing any training sessions with his Spurs team-mates during the week. The only contact he has with them is on the day before a game when King watches training to learn the moves he will be part of on match day."
  2. Brilliant news, recognition for the defence as a unit (Hibbo next ?). Not happened since the days of Keith Newton, Brian Labone and Tommy Wright! Just so long as they all come back in one piece . http://www.thefa.com/England/SeniorTeam/Ne...uad_SloUkra.htm
  3. I'll look forward to Martin O'Neill's post match interview. They've probably been the better side I should think.....like they were at Goodison in the cup . The change in GD may come in useful for us....almost like we've gained a point on them .
  4. No . But as they're 3-0 down at half time at Anfield we may get them on the run-in . In free-fall by the look of it.
  5. Hmmmm... "...he is a lovely lad and he is trying his very best." ....doesn't sound very hopeful. And being replaced by someone we ditched seven years ago because he wasn't good enough . CadburyMartini's a journeyman at best. Think the chances of him ever playing for us are remote....love to be wrong though .
  6. I think if we could get Madame Pomfrey out of Harry Potter in as Baz's assistant in the medical room we can finish fifth at worst next year, probably higher . I the real world DM needs money just to stay still . Relatively few clubs will be spending huge amounts I think because of the financial climate but City, Villa and Spurs at the very least will all be challenging us. We need more quality bodies and they don't come cheap, hopefully Davey'll pick up another gem or two from the Championship.
  7. Again Jim it's not wrong, I think it's a genius answer....almost as good as Brunswick . You have only yourself to blame for asking questions with multiple answers....you might as well ask us to to name a colour and then say "blue" is wrong because it's not the one you're thinking of . And Bill's very unreliable....best send the answers to me to be on the safe side....I'm very trustworthy   .
  8. A good point, thoroughly unpleasant pair. Who's the father of the kids?
  9. Good to have you back Mac! Just in time for me to tell you all about my new shed !
  10. Thought you were going to blow it at half time. Good win though!
  11. You said it in your first post . It's a new thing for this season, always open for discussion, as is the MOTM voting system (also new this year). If people want changes for 09/10 we can certainly look at it .
  12. Done for a double by Portsmouth ffs....not a nice feeling .

  14. BBC... Fair to say referee Peter Walton might not be on David Moyes' Christmas card list. Glen Johnson's shot was just nowhere near Leighton Baines, the decision to give a corner was remarkable.
  15. Howard, Jacobsen, Jagielka, Lescott, Baines, Osman, Fellaini, Neville, Pienaar, Saha, Jo. Subs: Nash, Castillo, Rodwell, Gosling, Agard, Baxter, Wallace. Jacobsen début and TC out .
  16. Fascinating and well researched item from the BBC... If selected:- YAKUBU will be facing a former club. The 26 year old Nigeria international forward made 92 appearances (81 in the league) and scored 42 goals (35 league) between January 2003 and July 2005.
  17. Joe Royle comes face-to-face today with Peter Johnson - the man who broke his heart at Everton. Oldham boss Royle takes on Johnson's League One rivals Tranmere on his second managerial 'debut' and admits the pair are sorry about the rift at Goodison. Royle quit after a row with chairman Johnson, but said: "We have only ever fallen out for 40 minutes. It was a decision we have both regretted ever since. "I saw him on holiday last summer. We were on a boat, talking football for hours while we sailed around Mallorca. We had just totally misunderstood one another at Everton." Hmmmm...
  18. Just gotta hope they don't kill it off in the first leg at OT .
  19. ....all in a provisional England squad according to the Echo (it's in "Hot off the press"). http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/...00252-23192577/ ....but I can't find it anywhere else...not on the beeb or on the FA's own site . Strange.
  20. Seems most likely....Davey doesn't seem to fancy Jacobsen at all. Hibbo's only a couple of weeks off fitness apparently .
  21. Confirmed on the OS....out for a month. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/3601...or-a-month.html
  22. Lawrenson's gone for a 0-0 draw, so that means there'll be plenty of goals .
  23. Villarreal v Arsenal ManU v Porto Liverpool v Chelsea Barcelona v Bayern Arsenal & United should go through, other two tough to call. Semi finals.. ManU/Porto v Villarreal/Arsenal Barcelona/Bayern v Liverpool/Chelsea
  24. Incredibly tough to pick a winner from the last eight, the bookies don't know either, every team's between 4/1 and 8/1. City would have to be rank outsiders for me given the opposition..very lucky to be there at all after last night. Udinese (Ita) Hamburg (Ger) Werder Bremen (Ger) Marseille (Fra) Paris Saint Germain (Fra) Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukr) Dynamo Kiev (Ukr) Gianfranco Zola reckons West Ham need 52 points to get into the Europa (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...ers-Europe.html) which means by his reckoning we need another five points from the rest of the season for sixth.
  25. No mention of golf in the original question as far as I can see... .....and just how do you suppose they got the water from the Thames into Brunswick Dock? Eh? Answer me that!!! In a Volkswagon Beetle perhaps? NO! They channelled it by cutting a dirty big hole in the riverbank! Legally you don't have a leg to stand on and unless I get my prize you'll be hearing from my lawyer in the morning .
