  1. True but a lot of Roms goals this season were served on a plate by Deulofeu - I counted approx. 9 assists for Rom. He was a big difference and some truly awe inspiring deliveries into the box. Rom & others would do well to remember that and acknowledge that boy & deserve special praise. It was a shame Martinez was quick to criticise Baines comments about the focus being on individuals rather than teamplay and protect Roms blatant touting. Clearly resonating through the squad afterwards
  2. This would make things a lot more interesting for me - the loss of Chris Woods was bad. West Hams upturn in defensive form can be partly attributable to him especially with the emergence of Adriano. If the resume matches up to the skillset Southamptons GA column then its another ray of light on the horizon for me. I'm guessing Martinez's goalkeeping coach has moved on now?! Didn't really notice him arrive tbh.. - harsh perhaps but well founded no less.
  3. Janssen looks a good shout up front and Koeman should know all about him since his Feynoord days. Another from Feynoord was Clasie to Southampton (and maybe Goodison according to media) so there's precedent there. But Koeman also needs defenders, and those he can trust. Based on his Feynoord days I'm guessing van dan Beek or de Vrijl could be strong possibilities as am worried we'll lose Stones. Stones leaving would be a huge mistake but that's old news - I'm guessing the young lads learnt a lot from his mistakes, just hope we get the benefit and not Mourinho or Guardiola. He'll learn to defend with Koeman, Southampton a little leaky towards end of season but started (ignoring Liverpool result). As the School of Science doors are now in full swing I can see some of our English youngsters providing the passion and drive, not sure what Koemans impact will be but with Unsworth & Joe still in place it should be in good hands. Got to thank Martinez for that. Still I don't see the harm in a Scott Dann like figure coming in. Just keep him out of the Derby squads;- ) Mourinho likes world class marquee players although he probably wants Matic too, undoubtedly he'll fight like a dog for Stones - but theres likely no room for Mata - is Mata a good creative fit at Everton? Still Can't see anywhere else for Lukaku other than old Trafford with the room & money.. Price may just keep rising this summer, which makes me doubt whether we can move him on with financial fair play rules limiting Chelses. Mind you if the dummy stops doing what his puppet master agent wants and gets his head straight I would keep him, no question.
  4. Tielemans, Praet & Batshuayi. Plenty of promise for me and Koemans sure to know about them. As for Defenders I suspect Koemans time at Feyenoord might also see him call on Stefan de Vrij and/or Stefan de Beek.
  5. With Lukaku (I'm one of the best in the world) for £65mil for anyone daft enough to pay it & Stones price set at £40Mil does Koeman coming in as manager change anything? I can't see Lukaku going to MU with Mourinho & Ibrahimovic in-situ, £65mil from Chelsea also looking unlikely. Does PSG & Bayern still hold enough sway? Lets face it the Premier League is the place to be next season and especially in the NW. I can't see lukaku & his agent keeping there mouths shut long enough though - Our drop in form was coincidental with him giving it the big I am for next season. Stones seems to be intent on leaving - does the Koeman / Mourinho appointments change anything, especially with Barca's Mori interest?
  6. In light of expected player departures and the need for new Everton Leaders, is a re-signing such a bad idea? Is it even possible that the fans would forgive & forget! 12months ago I was dead against this but the signs of a Rooney return are undeniable. If Lukaku goes on a player plus cash deal (even though man utd aren't in the champions league), and Rooneys re-invention/re-invigoration as a deep lying forward/midfielder, this might be a goer. I don't believe for a second he'd want the same wages or that its a like for like replacement but does seem plausible. Player + £30-40Mil? Mind you if we are dealing with that nob-head Woodward and Stretford - I suspect Rooney won't have much involvement anyway... We need a manager sorted asap... Euro 2016 is a major scouting opportunity!
  7. VDM if fit will be on the bench, he's lost a lot of weight but the question mark is whether he's got match sharpness after his gashed leg. Graveson probably starting or stubbs with Jag's at RB 4-4-2: AJ and Anichebe if DM has any sense, AJ on his own up front is never going to do anything for us, He is not a physically Strong Striker, don't agree with that system 100% anyway and if moyes expects versatility in his players he needs to show some in his tatics, a few suprises would be useful. We are at home after all. Chelsea would have been laughing when they saw we where playing the same tactics as in the first leg - Makallele/lMikel what difference did we expect? I understand why we went that way but if was always going to be down to luck with those tactics, barring maybe 1 opportunites that required a precision finish class finish.
  8. If they palm us off with Stubbs as our only signing again this transfer window... he most certainly will go.. As will Arteta Yobo and maybe even Cahill. We would only get a £2mil for each though, judging by our current track record.
  9. agreed London... conspiracy too far who can tell with BK? Lets not forget THE key point here AJ 'WANTS' to play for us.. e.g.Parker/Emre/ Carrick/ Bellamey(possiby)/ Owen & Van Bommel didn't! thats got to be worth a couple mill. + He's English, again worth a few mill.(apparently) He has proven his loyalty at Palace beyond doubt and fits in perfectly.. ball on the ground, lots of pace, goal scorer... don't forget Arsenal were interested too.
  10. To be fair though... ..every year we're promised much improvement..yet we are delivered shite & more tripe. The fiasco of getting a "good" striker has now dragged on for 2 Seasons (Soon to be 3) and again we are putting a bid in for £7+ million.. but... oh hold on deal scuppered again at the last ..for whatever reason. Bellamey, Smith, Johnson, Forssell Kuyt? not to mention Rooney (£20 mil is a long way from £50 mil quoted bk), or Owen £12 mil Snub. Crisis? Damn right there is a crisis.. the same crisis for the past two seasons - strikers and creativity and pace + shrinking squad numbers. Yet now we are, as predicted settling for 'Relegation Battles' through lack of investment & ambition.. the stakes have been raised and EFC is truly lacking. P Nev 4m Bent £2m J Beat 6m Kroldrup £3.5m M Arteta 2.5m Graveson £2.5m Davies 3.5m Kroldrup 5m others 2.5m Thats -£24.5m Thats +£8m + £16.5m spent of rooney money..... and no also no mention of prize/tv money. Now Wigan & Bolton can outbid us for any player.. for what its worth. They'll also be more competive than we are and more consistant. Never mind it was a good 'false dawn' whilst it lasted back to the norm now.
