I think this is a key difference though. You initially asked about mass illegal immigration and I don't think anyone has ever been supportive of mass illegal immigration.

Is there too much immigration or is there just not enough effort to deal with them, integrate them once the government have approved their status?

The torys are very good at spin and propaganda. At least its easier to believe that than the majority of the country are that fucking stupid to believe anything they say without being deceived. If they wanted to deal with immigration, they absolutely could. Anyone who says otherwise might want to look at a map.

So rather than be angry with the people risking their lives to escape at worst or want to improve their life at best, look at the people in charge. May slashed border control forces before she was PM for example, police take a pay cut year on year if you take inflation into account, privatisation lead to all our money going into private foreign companies profits rather than back into the country...

The state of the country isn't due to immigration. It's an element for sure but it's not the root cause. You only need to see what the conservatives have done in the past 50 years to distribute the wealth as they saw fit and the working and middle class carry the consequences.

If you want to be angry, I don't blame you. But be angry at the right thing.

I’m more concerned than angry I fear for the future of my grandchildren in 15 years time you won’t recognise this country and Liverpool will end up just like London a total shambles.

You said regarding Rwanda is it any more unsave than the UK, so I responded with do you know of any UK citizens who have been given asylum  to any other countries in recent times, why I said that was to show that the UK is safer than Rwanda who’s citizens are still currently seeking and getting asylum because their lives are in danger.
Mass immigration isn’t good for any country and in an ideal world no country in the worlds citizens would need to use immigration as away to feed themselves and their families.
But whilst there are people who genuinely need help then should the richest countries help them or turn them away.
You come from a City that was built by immigrants mainly from Ireland, but I’m sure there are many more immigrants from other countries that moved and worked in Liverpool and added value to the city.

I’m not against immigration I’m against the way it’s being done and yes I know there’s good and bad.
but at the end of the day our own kids can’t get a place to live they have to live with parents or grandparents under current rules they will never get a so called council house.

If they're allowed to stay they're not illegal, and people who arrive here by "irregular" routes mostly claim asylum so they can only properly be described as illegal (despite what the tories pretend) once their application has been processed, two thirds are successful in those applications.

I've not seen immigrants living on the streets, or heard reports of such a thing, so it would appear that it is possible to accommodate them.

You won’t see immigrants living on the streets they aren’t that soft.
they demand houses some want houses with 2 living rooms and some refusing houses because there’s no drive to park on.
some supposedly from war torn country’s complaining about 2 to a room while it’s not costing a penny to stay.

Nobody thinks mass illegal immigraton is good for the country.

How does an immigrant get to be "tick-boxed" if they're unchecked?

    Yes.

    You're entitled to your opinion.

They are being allowed to stay without checking their background it’s a case of fk it we can’t check everyone but let’s allow them to stay.
average 500 a day coming it’s not possible to accommodate them and never will be.

Well I’m shocked that more hasn’t been made of it by the other Parties.

Can anyone explain to me why they think mass illegal immigration is good for our country.
and now we are tick boxing any unchecked immigrant to stay.
regarding Rwanda is it any more unsafe than the uk.
for me our country is finished or will be in a few years time.

"Facts" courtesy of unsubstantiated fail story.

Why are we even talking about this?

He's a bully who should be charged with ABH apparently, all on the say so of Matt Hughes.

Fail has a video on its site now which says that Dyche left the table with Patterson, no mention of Tarkowski at all....so the "facts" that people are drawing their own "facts" from are not only uncorroborated, they're contradictory.

What does it matter that he left the table with Patterson ?

unless they act like grown ups, accept an apology and put it behind them and simply get on with the rest of their lives. There are much more pressing issues to be worrying about that 'Dychegate' at this club and on life in general.

Give Dyche a spin on his own naughty boys 'wheel of fortune' as punishment for being a bit of a knob - and underline the whole thing.

It will be interesting to see what happens especially with his next press interview for the Bournemouth game he will be asked about it.

you can see in just this forum alone - how a 30-40 word article has be dragged accross the coals, sensationalised and blow out of any sort of proportion, and now there are tens if not hurdreds of thousands of words written about an incident but that in realliy 99.99% have no fucking clue about any details, peoples intent etc as they where not privy to it first hand - the vast majoiryt is conjector to suit any individuals own narratives.

There was an uncomfortable or embarresing (word used in the original article) 'incident' and even in the souce article its sound like I was simply dealt with fairly qucikly like mature grown up. A senior Player appear comfortable in approaching the boss to call him out about it (in original article) and the boss apologies for it (in the original article).

A sign off the times and perhaps subtle difference in the expectations and banter (for want of a better word) of different generations.

I am sure everybody will learn from the incident, and that all you can resonably expect from people.

Your right 99.99% don’t know what happened but the whole squad do know and it’s not so easily forgotten

"Of course there was ale involved" Again just speculation...but if he had had a beer then was it contributary to what it's "understood" he did? Seems to like a pint so you'd think he can handle it.

    "Down time" = alcohol?

Again with embellishing the story, report says Tarkowski (just him, not "captains") took him "to one side," not outside, which has different connotations.

If you want to swallow the whole story as written then go for it (general point, not just directed at Haf), and if you want to make it worse for whatever motive then fill yer boots...but does it not occur to you that if there was more to it the fail would've been all over it?

So you actually believe the mail when it suits you.

  10. The problem for us is the players will have lost a lot of respect for Dyche and I’m not sure he will regain it.
can results bridge that gap I don’t know the man is out on a limb now 2 months without a win is massive.

  11. 5 hours ago, MikeO said:

    You know that how?

I took the degrading step of actually opening the fail site to read the article, and there was no mention at all of alcohol.

What there was was, "Mail sport has learned" (no source) blah blah "Dyche is understood (by who? Again no source) to have apologised to Patterson." BLAH BLAH "...caused a stir among fellow restaurant diners." (none of whom felt the need or inclination to talk about it apparently).

Can't believe how ridiculous this thread has got, everyone believing without question a highly dubious report, but not only that, going off into fantasy land to embellish it.

    Love a bit of drama don't we:doh:

Most people like a glass of wine with a meal.
there was alcohol now I’m not saying anyone was pissed especially not the players but there was alcohol involved.

People trying to trivialise this are way off the mark.

If you can quote the rules you can obey the rules.... Dyche is a disciplinarian but this isn't Tom Browns school days and he isn't strutting round with a cape and a cane.

It may galvanise the squad - at least we hope so

We will find out at Bournemouth which is an awful venue for us normally

In short he's toast.   He's reliant on 100% buy in and respect from the players.

When Alex Ferguson cut Beckhams eye with a boot his response was "get that stitched up"...... the bully knew his temper would have been the end of him if he wasn't a successful manager.  For him he needed to be unapologetic even when wrong - otherwise he looks weak.

Dyche doesn't have the credit in the bank to get away with this. Patterson by all accounts is a very popular lad with the players. The fact he's not been picked despite Godfrey being poor says it feels personal.

    David Brent levels of stupidity

I wonder what Thelwell thinks of the situation he must surely speak to the senior players about what has happened

  14. 3 minutes ago, Hafnia said:

Absolutely mind blowing.  For one the manager was on the ale with the team.... he's got to be the standard bearer.  Yeah fine - "have a few beers boys - been a good trip... bit of down time and get a bit merry"  - he's got to be the one who represents the tone of the night.

my reading of the situation @patto is that dyche got carried away, and got "accidentally" heavy handed in a way that stopped the players in their tracks.... otherwise why did Tarks and Coleman feel the need to standup for their teammate.

One way or another Dyche apologising means he knew he'd fucked up... the fact that the players needed to prompt him to do it means his status has dropped. They will not have the same respect for him now.?

You took the words out my mouth.
the fact he came back into the room and apologised wow he won’t be happy with that.

  15. 8 minutes ago, Btay said:

So you’re telling me Dyche went to a team dinner with a pre conceived plan to slap Patterson because he identifies him as an easy target amongst the squad to exert some authority? Like, seriously?

I never said that at all I said he picked his mark.
Dyche is lucky it never went further than it did or he would already be out on his arse.

  16. I’ve only just heard of this today I’ve hardly been on line and don’t read newspapers.
some people think this is the daily mail doing it’s thing on Everton.
well this is true and quite serious I expect Dyche to be gone in the summer you can’t go round slapping players while out on a meal.
it was Coleman and Tarky who took Dych outside to have a word.
it was worse than is being reported but he had to pick Patterson didn’t he the prick like a typical bully picked his mark.

  17. Went on line this morning and cancelled they said I have to take it to a DPD depot to send it back so it’s up to DPD to send me a label to post it.
they send me an email with the address and I have to print it and provide packing for it.
if I had gone the 3 store I could just hand it in so much easier.

  18. Well I chose three 4G home broadband I think I've made a mistake already.....I do have the option to send it back but I'm sure there will be a charge but there's no information on the website.
