I agree that Messi didn't deserve the Golden Ball. At the other end of the scale, the worst player was Hulk. He was even worse than any of the England squad.

Welcome in. You do realise that 'once an Everton fan, always an Everton fan'? It is a lifetime commitment. I started in about 1943, but as there was no organised football during the war, had to wait until 1946 for my first game. You couldn't have made a better decision though. Enjoy the ride!

The year before last I had a long week-end in Cork. Age 77 with a heart condition, the travel insurance was £7 with the AA.

It was more about Brazil being poor (bordering on useless) than Germany being good. What's Hulk all about? He wouldn't get a game at Tranmere Rovers. The Germans don't do themselves any favours with their 'diving'. Muller spends more time on his back than on his feet.

Sad to see that Di Stefano has died aged 88. I saw him play (on TV) in several EuropeanCup Finals for Real Madrid, including the 7 - 3 win over the Swedish team (whose name escapes me!). He was a combination of Messi and Ronaldo. If he played today, you couldn't put a price on him.

Charles Saatchi may lack taste but he makes a lot of money out of it. He pays a lot of money for crap but creates a 'market'. Then gullible rich people come along and pay even more when Saatchi sells it. Non-artists like Emin and Hirst make a lot of money. Saatchi makes a lot of money and the bozo's at the end of the chain think they have a masterpiece.

A couple of years ago, I transferred all my insurances (car, buildings, contents) to the AA and saved £380. This year (third year) after 'no claims' my motor insurance went up by 25% and the other two by 28%. Needless to say, I am with someone else now.
