Does you projected points total (37) still include the 2 additional points that PL have taken off us?. We are on 30 now, plus your projected draws against Brentford (1) and Luton (1) and win against Sheff Utd (3) only gives us 35 points total.

If Luton draw against us (1) and win other 3 games (9) it would put them also on 35 points.

Unless results are favourable for us this weekend, then the Luton game is still massive as it really is a 6 pointer. I feel we will get 0 last day and Luton will get 3 points of Fulham. We need a three point buffer going in to the final round of games.

Probably just a typo; thinks he's projecting 35, which will almost certainly be enough, but 37 makes it mathematically certain (unless the league dock us more points:().

Sorry - correct I never updated after the points deduction. Will correct to 35.

  2. Despite getting battered at the Bridge we're in a much better place now than we were 10 days ago. Not quite out of the woods yet. As it stands right now 7 points from 5 games would guarantee us safety (that assumes Luton win their last four games).

    Bournemouth away 1 (0)

  3. Sorry for not reading all the comments before posting my thoughts. A lot of this is probably redundant.

    • Branthwaite is immense. Our best defender in the past decade or more. Since Leighton and Seamus were flying down the wings years ago.
    • For what feels like the first time ever we were extremely fortunate with VAR. The hand ball is a stonewall pen. You could also make a case for both fouls.
    • Which leads me to: Ashley Young is going to give me an ulcer. He's a pen and/or red card waiting to happen in every game.
    • We're still dreadful. I've seen better passing at a U12 game in upstate New York.

Thought I wouldn't be writing in this topic much 🙈

It feels very much in our own hands fixture wise. 8 games to go. 5 of those against teams in 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th.

Really hope that, even though it was a penalty, DCL gets a boost in confidence. A nice 5 or so goals could make a big difference for us.

All in absolute hope of course!!!

It's in our hands as long as we aren't deducted an additional 5 points or more. Until we know the penalty it's impossible to know who controls their own destiny. Burnley on Saturday is MASSIVE. Begging everyone on here who is going to be in full (and united) voice. We've kept this club afloat for almost 3 years now. What's a couple more weeks. COYB!
