Despite getting battered at the Bridge we're in a much better place now than we were 10 days ago. Not quite out of the woods yet. As it stands right now 7 points from 5 games would guarantee us safety (that assumes Luton win their last four games).

What was up with the switch from formal suit to training gear for Dyche yesterday?

Hoping for two things: a point or more and Beto protected. Shouldn't be anywhere near the team as he recovers.

Sorry for not reading all the comments before posting my thoughts. A lot of this is probably redundant.
- Branthwaite is immense. Our best defender in the past decade or more. Since Leighton and Seamus were flying down the wings years ago.
- For what feels like the first time ever we were extremely fortunate with VAR. The hand ball is a stonewall pen. You could also make a case for both fouls.
- Which leads me to: Ashley Young is going to give me an ulcer. He's a pen and/or red card waiting to happen in every game.
- We're still dreadful. I've seen better passing at a U12 game in upstate New York.

Thought I wouldn't be writing in this topic much
It feels very much in our own hands fixture wise. 8 games to go. 5 of those against teams in 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th.
Really hope that, even though it was a penalty, DCL gets a boost in confidence. A nice 5 or so goals could make a big difference for us.
All in absolute hope of course!!!
It's in our hands as long as we aren't deducted an additional 5 points or more. Until we know the penalty it's impossible to know who controls their own destiny. Burnley on Saturday is MASSIVE. Begging everyone on here who is going to be in full (and united) voice. We've kept this club afloat for almost 3 years now. What's a couple more weeks. COYB!

Sadly on our form (and the pts deduction both already taken and what could be taken further) I think it's time to resurrect the topic. Unless something really unexpected happens it looks like we fight it out with Forest and Luton for 18th. 10 games left.
