Yeah I understand your point. I just love that type of football, it’s intricate and attractive. I started following us during the Moyes era and Martinez was such a refreshing change to go to the big clubs with out fear. I hope he has progressed as manager because that mindset you mentioned is what lost us the game away against Kiev really.

I think the biggest thing that limited Martinez was our budget. Having to sign Alcaraz on a free because we were so skint. I’d be happy to see Martinez back personally.

If he is going sulk and drag his heels he can fuck off. He also said we were the only team to really give him a chance last season. See what he’s really made of now.

Except Zaha is 28 and has played in this league for as many years as all those players mentioned have combined. All 3 of ours will get better ( James fitness depending )

Neves isn’t a ball winning midfielder? He’s someone who gets on the ball and knocks it’s around, excellent set pieces and chips in with goals. Would compliment Doucoure & Allan nicely but is a steep price. Definite upgrade on Gomes though

Think you got Holgate & Godfrey mixed up mate.... Aaron’s & Buendia would be good business, maybe we can send Iwobi and Keane the other way plus £££. If not Buendia hopefully Leon Bailey. Also guarantee King & Kean won’t be here. Hopefully Brands and Caro are getting stuck into their work early.

Some good points here but Kean - his heart isn’t here and as Carlo said if someone doesn’t want to be here we don’t them. Fee is rumoured around £40 million - take that and run. What ever player he may become is irrelevant because he won’t become that player here if he doesn’t want to be here. We need a proper first team RB. Coleman as back up - we can sign the equivalent of Niels after next season if need be - Godfrey can cover as 3rd (even 2nd) RB if required. Pickford - has earned his place, sends a bad message to the squad that if you improve we will sell anyway. If Olsen is £5 mill I would take him and spend the 10/15 million else where we would be spending on those names mentioned.

I think he’s deceptively quick for his size though - not quite explosive like Dom or Lukaku. Watching the game he uses his body so well already and really looked after the ball for Blackpool when played up to him. What ever happens with him I fully support - I just don’t think we need to go an splash £££ on another Moise Kean with him in the ranks.

If we get a proper right winger who contributes 15 goals and assists over a season and Richarlison does what we all know he can do I think we are ok. I still want a striker but who ever we get in is going to be behind Dom IMO. If that makes sense? Edit - also a proper right back probably adds 5 assists. It’s moneyball talk but that’s about 20/25 extra goals to the team
