I don’t agree with this at all. None of our central midfielders pass well in my opinion and McNeil is a much better crosser than direct passer. Harrison would fit nicely in a possession based side but he’s the only one that comes to mind other than Gomes.

Not really… a house can be sold to any number of people looking for a place to live. I can’t imagine the shite are looking to leave anfield anytime soon so the stadium is really only valuable to us.

Does anyone actually think that we have players that can succeed in a side that actually maintains possession? Outside of Onana, who everyone seems to hate, who on the side can claim passing or ball control as a strength? Sometimes I genuinely feel like I’m watching different players then most.

Was a truly tough read. We’ve got ourselves in such financial dire straits that we can’t even be bought.

I haven’t seen full stats posted yet, but this just can’t be true. Felt like he was the only one winning the ball back and playing balls forward without tripping over his own feet.

This is why it’s a tough decision. All of our central midfielders actually aren’t bad, it’s just hard to figure out how to mesh the skill sets, especially when factoring in that our strikers haven’t been finishing so that skill becomes a premium and it’s hard to rationalize not playing doucoure. I personally want to see onana Gomes and doucoure, but I’m not totally sure what the right combo is.

It’s never going to be pretty with this side, but happy to say I’m proud of the squad today. They battled hard.
