  1. A couple of good things will hopefully come out of this, players transfer fees and wages come down to considerably too some sort of realistic deal. And they may listen to reasonable offers from Dewsbury-hall who I thought looked like a really good player in their recent FA cup game, every cloud as a silver lining.
  2. Cheers Mike so if we are both in the 1-10,000 we should be definitely offered the chance of a season ticket, especially if the capacity in the new stadium is going up by 15,000. Can’t wait it’s been a long time coming.
  3. Well that would make sense, a cock and a twat usually go together quite well
  4. Has any other members received the email regarding season tickets for 24/25, if so how did you access your position on the waiting lists, they told me I have been on the waiting list since 18/19 season but not where I am on the list.
  5. I’m like you I go in at around 30-35% above what I my cost of labour and materials will be, if it’s a big value contract I will be prepared to negotiate and come down to 20-25%, and I will also drop to keep my labour and stop a competitor that I don’t want to get the contract. My pretax profit after everything is stripped out is generally around the low to mid 20%, as people who own our own businesses, we try to keep control of our outlay and none productive costs, because it’s our personal income that’s being spent. Bigger business do suffer hugely from none prod costs that’s inevitable, to try and control this they take on more management and give them targets to meet with the carrot of bonuses, all of which had to the none prod costs, big isn’t always beautiful the people you have the greater chance the money runs through there fingers, especially for certain industries when there is a financial crisis, and never more so than for the construction industry, and car industry.
  6. Whether there was a personal attack in the Dyche incident we cannot be sure, that depends on what story you believe, it happened or it didn’t happen. But on here it has started to descend into personal attacks on the differing opinions, and I don’t find that healthy or helpful for the discussion I get frustration when you believe you are 100% right, and someone else refuses to accept your opinions, but where we can we need to try and keep it civil and on point.
  7. Do you consider a personal attack verbally or physically appropriate, that’s the question
  8. Yes, at the time that bemused most people but opened up debate, mainly whether he was the full ticket or not. Yet it proved people who have different opinions and don’t voice them in the way you are I would doesn’t mean they are less valid or shouldn’t be heard, so to be ridiculed by others who think they’re opinions are more important or valuable is borderline disrespectful and ignorant. If you disagree with someone just say you disagree, if you don’t want to give a constructive opinion you don’t have to, but if you disagree with a personal attack rather than a different opinion, then you are better off saying nothing. Paul Palfreeman following the wisdom’s of Eric Cantona
  9. To deny the allegations is surely something to talk about. There’s always a discussion to be had, sometimes you just have to open up your mind and search for it. And seagulls still follow the trawler in the hope of finding some fish
  10. I do agree that the press sensationalise when ever given the opportunity, after all the game is selling papers. So your view is he did slap him around the head in a light hearted manner. In your view it wasn’t forceful accidentally or otherwise, and that it didn’t revoke a reaction from some of his teammates that led to a verbal confrontation, and that he then had to be led away from the room by a player or players to defuse the situation, and then on his return he made a an apology to Patterson and the players for his actions. To be honest we may never find out what did or didn’t happen for sometime, but I hope the press aren’t dissuaded from answering the questions and delving into what happened on that night, on the next pre match interviews, because I for one believe if true this could have deeper implications for the team, in away that players generally have a far deeper bond with each other than the manager, they do a lot together as friends away from the club and create really tight bonds, they usually respect their manager and that respect means they do as they are asked and give their all, once a manager loses the respect of his players then bigger problems normally occur over time. For me I’m more concerned about the club the team than I am about Dyche, and I would hope that if something unsavoury occurred the club would have the guts to do something about it before it affects the team in other ways, but then I look at our club as a rudderless ship just drifting from one disaster to another, which makes me think if it did happen there is no one at the helm to make the decisions that need making. As you said Rom something happened, and the silence around the club, the manager, and the players, not to deny the reports sometimes speaks volumes. No comment?
  11. Because Trump said global warming is fake news.
  12. I thought this was the Open University.
  13. The Tories are desperate to try and get the Brexiteer voters on their side and to vote for them come the GE, and they know that must Brexiteers voted Brexit to try and stop any form of immigration. And they know that deporting immigrants to Rwanda will be a vote winner amongst Brexiteers and dare I say Racists, that’s why they are trying everything possible to get this bill passed at any cost.
  14. Spot on I’ve worked in this industry pretty much all my working life, and personally no a lot of MDs for large companies in the construction industry, I’ve had this conversation with them over many years, they aim for a net profit of 5~8% on their turnover. When I hear people saying Laing can afford to cover the cost of 30% plus rise in material costs because they are making 60% profit I have to say something because I know they are way off the mark.
  15. We need to keep hold of him for another year, fuck off with all this valuation shit you miserable fuckers
  16. There’s got to be a simpler way of addressing PSR, even the new format based on UEFAs rules which we are going to mirror are flawed.
  17. It definitely would I felt weeks ago that Patterson should be playing, but now if he starts after what’s happened it would for me feel like Dyche saying there’s no problem between me and Patterson, and if what happened hadn’t happened I wouldn’t even be thinking there’s any chance Patterson starting, because Dyche’s evaluation of him has been clear, he’s not ready or good enough. Anyhow has anybody seen the odds for Patterson play I feel there’s a bit of money to be made on this.
  18. I wonder if the Bookies are doing odds on Patterson making the starting 11, if they are I would put 50 on him starting.
  19. That makes sense but wouldn’t if they were a PLC, plus a nice little bonus for the employees in the UK.
  20. It maybe a ridiculous stance to take, but it’s good to provoke a reaction. Some may believe that nothing happened and it’s all fake news, for me there’s been to much coverage and detail to say nothing happened. You tell me when it becomes acceptable to smack someone round the back of the head and when it doesn’t?
  21. He’s always had a problem with Patterson as a player, that’s why we have seen a poor Godfrey being shoehorned as a RB, now it would appear his dislike towards Patterson has become personal, or was it always a personal problem he’s had with Patterson, and manifested itself in public after too much sun and vino. A bully will always show their true colours eventually, bye Dyche and drop your keys off on the way out. You won’t be missed your long game was shit anyway, and 5 points out of possible 33 should have been what got you the bullet, but ABH on a player is unacceptable and for that you should be dismissed and ashamed.
  22. Why don’t they want to make a profit in the UK?
  23. They would try and pay as little tax as possible, but just not by devaluation of their profits. Yet I as a sole trader and not a PLC would do what I could to make my profits disappear so as to pay less tax, all above board and legal of course
