  1. I was fuming at first and then sense came to me - he was all action for 90+ minutes on Sunday and then was doing the same for 75 minutes tonight and he's not exactly a young man anymore.
  2. Just think what he could achieve if the players pick up their tools again.
  3. I don't think I've ever felt so calm before and during a derby as I did today. It was so strange. Usually beforehand I'm a mess and just want it over with, but I felt no stress at all during the day. Then during I'm usually on verge of a heart attack but I felt really calm. A lot of that was down to the players because they were brilliant. We were the better side all over the pitch. That's not to say the shite didn't have chances, of course they're going to, but when they did we had our keeper their doing his job perfectly. I'm so proud of every single player tonight because each and every one of them performed to their optimum and gave everything they had to get that win. It wasn't a lucky win, it wasn't handed to us, we went out there and we won that game for ourselves and fucking deserved it. Pickford - What a keeper he is. Made some vital saves and also kept everyone calm when we were under pressure. Godfrey - His drifting infield caused me a bit of worry but on the whole a brilliant performance and that clearance off the toe of a shite player was key to the victory. Tarkowski - Glad to see he'd got rid of the clogs tonight! Absolutely rock solid. Branthwaite - He's some player, isn't he? I loved watching him tonight. So calm and composed and just dealt with everything that was thrown at him impeccably. Nice to see him get another goal too. Mykolenko - I hope his injury isn't too serious (I'd be surprised to see him play on Saturday though) because he was having another solid game until he had to go off. Harrison - I wish he'd have a bit more willingness to take on his man but tonight he was much more like the Harrison that impressed for Leeds. Pressed, helped out defensively, used the ball well. Gana - I honestly don't know where he gets the energy but he was absolutely everywhere, from the first whistle until he was subbed off. I was amazed tbh. My MOTM. Garner - It felt like he didn't actually touch the ball all that often (probably wasn't the case) but he was so disciplined in where he was on the pitch, which was needed while Gana went hunting. McNeil - His deliveries were fucking fantastic tonight. We've let ourselves down in that department in recent weeks but they were so dangerous from him tonight. He put it on a plate for Dom to power home his header. His work rate was right up there as well - just kept going and going and going. Doucoure - He's still not at the level he was before his injury but he's getting there. We still got the misplaced passes but we also got the pure effort and graft that we've come to love. DCL - Our number 9 played like a proper number 9. I thought he bullied the shites CB's all game and gave them a torrid time. He just worked, worked, worked and I'm so pleased that his efforts were rewarded with scoring the goal that sealed the win and could get the adulation from the Gwladys Street End like he deserved.
  4. He got his fucking. I hope he enjoyed it but even if he didn't, I certainly did!
  5. You don't think United would still play them? They did with Antony.
  6. Proper centre-forward performance from him tonight. I'm so happy for him.
  7. Dyche might even decide to play Danjuma up front.
  8. Apparently United are the only side that has two 19 year olds. Read into that what you will.
  9. Forest are a weird club. https://www.teamtalk.com/nottingham-forest/marinakis-considers-legal-action-sky-sports-gary-neville-comments

  11. There have been more red cards in Everton versus Liverpool games than any other Premier League fixture (23), with the Blues' 16 the most one side has against another in the competition. Ashley Young was sent off earlier this season at Anfield, though there has not been a red card in both meetings since 2005-06. Everton are winless in their past 12 Premier League home games against Liverpool (D9 L3), their longest run without a league victory against an opponent at Goodison Park. The Reds have won their past 12 league games played on Wednesday by an aggregate score of 33-5, since a 1-0 home loss to Brighton in February 2021. No player has been directly involved in more Premier League goals for Everton this season than Dwight McNeil (three goals, five assists). However, McNeil has never been involved in one in 10 league appearances against Liverpool, only facing Manchester United (12) more without a top-flight goal or assist. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in six goals in his past five Premier League appearances against Everton, scoring five and assisting one. He scored twice in the reverse fixture in October – the last player to score two or more goals in both Merseyside derbies in a league campaign was Dixie Dean in 1932-33, while the last for Liverpool was Dick Forshaw in 1925-26.
  12. Apparently that’s as far as it’ll go, just talks.
  13. If I was a betting man I’d say Dyche will be thinking along the same lines and we’ll only see him on the bench.
  14. I just can't see Pickford being sold unless we go down when we'd have to take any sort of offer for him. I don't think a team would even pay more than the £30m we paid for him originally and that means it's not really worth it for us. Onana's a given in my opinion, he's already gone in my mind. He's got lots of potential but, as Btay says, for what he currently brings you could replace him for a lot less than he'd be sold for. I would just hope that Thelwell looks further afield than here. There's lots of value out there if you cast your net wide and even though we're a PL club (hopefully!) it'll be well known that we haven't got great finances so we shouldn't get destroyed on fees.

  16. He was dropped. He hasn't played for weeks, even after the two mistakes the replacement made. He wasn't in the original squad and was only moved over from the U21s to make up the numbers in training after the number 3 keeper had to pull out.
  17. The one that’s been dropped by Burnley? That Trafford? I was impressed with him for England U21s but he’s not looked good in big boys football at all. He needs to get a lot stronger because he’s weak as piss.
  18. I know people are making a joke out of his outfit change (and it is funny!) but I did like his explanation for it. They’d asked the players to do some different things since the Chelsea game and the honest conversations they’d had, so he wanted to show them that he was doing different things too. It’s only a small thing, obviously, but I think it sends a good message that they’re all in this together.
  19. Wouldn't a Luton fan have preferred a draw yesterday anyway?
  20. David Coote is on VAR for this game and he's from Nottingham. I wonder if we'll complain .
  21. He won't be allowed to play anyway due to concussion rules. Don't think he'll be available for Saturday either.
