  1. He is though that’s the issue, we need continuity in the team, Mina is regularly one who doesn’t allow us to do that. Granted you can say that of almost the whole squad this season though.
  2. Some rumours flying about saying he tested positive
  3. Gordon, showed a few other son the pitch what it means to play for Everton, won foul, took free kick goal assist, not bad. Pickfrod was excellent, my vote only goes to Gordon as it’s what I expect from Englands no 1
  4. Err no, I predicted a 1-2 result. However a fantastic result, beyond most of our dreams, really impressed by the youngsters, including Gordon who played like a captain, geeing up the other players, won the foul and put a lovely ball in for Branthwaite to knock in to the net. Simms and Dobbin showed more desire than Rondon could ever do, JJK steady and no brain farts ala Seamus. Pickford put in an outstanding performance. Im happy Sunday is postponed, gives us time to get a few players fit.
  5. Happy with the way we’ve kept a clean sheet, will be brill if we can do the same in the second.
  6. That’s good news, but wish it had been announced before the team was, may have changed the team for Chelsea tonight.
  7. Chelsea 1 Everton 2 Simms and no I’ve not had a drink yet …….
  8. Agreed, a result away against Chelsea is unlikely, a home game against Leicester more realistic, they’ve not been great until last weekend, who plays tonight though, midfield in particular is a real problem.
  9. My concern is the lack of game plan and determination to win games, take the last 4 games, Brentford woeful performance, failed to shout for a penalty when Rondon was hauled to the ground, Liverpool ran rings around us as expected, woeful defending, Arsenal last gasp winner driven on by the crown, Palace played rings around us also, but a 2-1 I really thought we were going to go on and win, lack of composure in front of goal, and then a total brain fart by our captain gifted them their third killing off all hope. It’s just not the sort of performances I would have anticipated from a manager with so much experience, Silva or Martinez maybe as they found their feet. We all know that we won’t win every game ( even so I can never bring myself to predict a loss ! ) but we should have taken points from Brentford, Palace, Watford, Villa and Wolves. However I don’t think we should underestimate how much not having DCL playing has affected us, without him we’ve effectively been playing without a dominant striker, Rondon has clearly been lacking match fitness ( his failing, he should have been ready to play sooner) and Richy doesn’t offer the same skills as DCL when we hoof the ball up, which we do a lot. Bit of a ramble but that’s how it’s come out of my head.
  10. No he won’t, but that statement shows how we’re all felling at the moment, not really good enough for us, or able to put a run together without injury interruptions, but as soon as we sell he will come good
  11. We should, but we’ve missed the boat, he will go to a better club than we are atm, we should have got him in the summer, he won’t want to come here while we’re in this mess.
  12. The lack of a game plan is my main concern, we made Palace look like Barca yesterday, they played through us so easily, our response was to lump the ball up to Richy, who isn’t that type of forward, if I can see that why can’t a manager with so much experience? Maybe when people said Rafa had lost the skill to manage in the PL they were right.
  13. Godfrey, showed how to put a tackle in, shame the rest didn’t follow suit.
  14. 45 mins in and I can’t see what our game plan is, after Monday we should be buzzing, we look as if we’re in 1st gear all the time. Really wish we didn’t allow flails from mistake so much.
  15. I stayed in my seat as I didn’t agree with the walkout, I have no beef with those that did, but I do with anyone who thinks they can berate me for making my own decision.
  16. I enjoyed that ! His second goal was very cooly taken, shame it was scratched off. Easy to see why Arsenal were linked with him, albeit lazy journalism once again.
  17. That’s exactly what I saw in top balcony, apart from the many leaving bit, but there’s only 6 rows ahead of me ( and one feckin pillar )
  18. No no and no, too old, too injury prone, unless he’s free and on a pay as you play contract.
  19. Hopefully that’s a theory from the man on the moon, who passed it on to John Lennon and Elvis. If not it had better be for a shitload of money that we can use straight away.
  20. Great to see him so happy, and how many who admit to not being great at school can speak a second language. Fantastic performance last night from him.
  21. that’s a very good point, and I agree.
