Haf, I’ve not commented on this since I posted the Mail alleged story, and until I see proper evidence I will take it with a large degree of not believing it, what I don’t really understand is why you are happy to believe the alleged story from a tabloid know for generating shite for the sake of it, yet are hyper critical of many on here who took what came out of the club under BK in good faith.
Are they not the same thing?

Great to see Southgate with a young, highly rated, left footed centre back on the pitch bench...only a friendly so we should be looking to the future.
Dunk then demonstrates why you shouldn't play a shite, aging, right-sided centre back on the left. Southgate is a total clown.

    You know that how?
I took the degrading step of actually opening the fail site to read the article, and there was no mention at all of alcohol.
What there was was, "Mail sport has learned" (no source) blah blah "Dyche is understood (by who? Again no source) to have apologised to Patterson." BLAH BLAH "...caused a stir among fellow restaurant diners." (none of whom felt the need or inclination to talk about it apparently).
Can't believe how ridiculous this thread has got, everyone believing without question a highly dubious report, but not only that, going off into fantasy land to embellish it.
Love a bit of drama don't we

The argument for keeping Simms increases by the day, missed an open goal in first half, then scores 2 and assists the winner today in FA cup.
Come on Beto prove the doubters wrong….. pleeeeeease !

The first few words I’ve copied and pasted, so there’s not substance imo  which is no surprise.

I was happy Gray left & still am. Late to match busses during a relegation scrap & played the game for himself.
Harrison has been a let down, let’s not fall in to the easy trap of blaming Dyche’s “style of play” we have played plenty of attacking football.
The problem is our players who support the striker all have huge short comings. Harrison loses the ball in the attacking third so much, Doucoure has little to no technical ability & and McNeil has 1 foot & zero pace.

I don’t think anyone would agree that they are happy with the last. 10 games,  and that Dyche could be doing better, what were asking Hafnia and Palfy is who do you realistically think we could get in now, before our next game, who will be better, and would you accept yet another severance payout, which is part of the mess we’re in.
ATM i rate Gary ONeill for what he did at Bournemouth and what he’s doing at Wolves, would he come here, no I don’t think he would with potential relegation, and  almost certain dismissal with new owners, until the ownership is sorted we need to crept our position, we may not like it but it’s a reality IMO.

I honestly think that good run of form post-deduction was... expected? I'm not sure any of us were all that surprised that the injustice of the deduction galvanized the team and the supporters.
But then as it became clear that the deduction nonsense wasn't going away, plus a few key instances (the Onana pen being one) going against us, we inevitably fell into a poor run of form.
Ultimately, and it's been said a million times in this thread, Dyche is doing just about as well as any manager could with the given circumstances of this season. He's also now been with us for a bit and has a sense of how much of a mess the club is in, so wouldn't it make more sense to keep him in charge vs bringing in someone new who would have to not only learn that the squad is paper-thin and devoid of creativity and goals, but also to have to deal with everything going on in the background?
    Stick with Dyche, please.

We got hit with a 10 point fine and went on a run of good form so that doesn't stand up does it?
Maybe onanas penalty literally did take the momentum out of our side.... like I said at the time (look at the form since that game).

to be honest not one of the offensive players are stepping up to grab a goal or two.  You would expect wingers and midfielders to be chipping in here and there, it not just strikers, everybody's lost the final touch if front of goal.

I think Dyche is doing a good job under extremely difficult circumstances, are there any board members left at the club.
Questions about our point's appeal, about the new ground, about the ownership, about players in or out.
Only one man is in front of the camera SD and he never dodges a question.
This club is in the worst pace at the moment in its history, one man is keeping it going and fighting for us fans.
Without our points deduction we are 13th and comfortable, not been able to say that for many a year.
Give the man time, and a budget, and a proper run club, then judge him.

I think in normal circumstances Dyche might be going through a run of games where questions might start to be rasied about the team and how it's progressing results wise and playing wise under his management.
However, we are so far removed from normal circumstances as a club could be.  Dyche is working under the most unusual circumstances we could really imagine at a football club. The points you have won being taken off you based on things that went on before your arrival and then with the spectre of even more points being taken away from you hanging over you. You add to this the madness of how the ownership and board situation is at this club, the long standing Chairman passing away. All these signficant things happening off the pitch over 2/3's of a season is quite astounding really.
All this has to negatively affect the players and football management side of the club.
The biggest thing that is really going against Dyche and the wider team at the moment seems to be a bit of luck - Performance wise easily half of our defeats/draws could have quite easily have turned out as wins on a different day. I don't beleive he as lost the players or dressing room at all, in fact they all seem to be working together to try and change the results.
I imagine he would have loved to have been in the position 10 games ago to try and take on games a little more going in to them as a mid table team. However, he has had the tractor beam of the points deduction that is keeping us (and will do now for the rest of the season) pulled toward the bottom three - that in itself brings a nervouseness to the players and fans alike.
Everton are at what I feel is a very delecate tipping point at the moment -  Until the points deductions and ownership issues are sorted out, the last thing we should do is be trying to change manager again. Especailly as Dyches main downfall to me has been that he's been very unlucky this season - both on and off the pitch.
If this had been a 'normal' season, just about football - I could quite easily see this team having a two or three more wins under their belt and now being safe on between 35-40 points.
I would actually like to see Dyche manage in to next season, with hopefully points deduction behind us and a new owner and board in place - to me he has and is showing enough to suggest he deserves a normal season.

My lad told me this on the way home on Saturday, 1 error by each keeper, and we could be looking at 9 additional points. Granted if we hit the ball straight at the keeper, he’s going to save it, but that’s not always the case IMO.

    Just a quick response.
My first game 1970, I was 10 we beat Chelsea 5-0, sat in the main stand with my dad, the only game we ever went to together.
fast forward to August 2014, walking past Everton 2, I went in with my 10 year old son, after looking at shirts we went upstairs to see if we get tickets to a game, we got tickets for top balcony upcoming Chelsea game, ooops,  0-2 within minutes, 3-6 full time, had to tell my lad it’s not always this exciting.
Now in our 7th year of ST, it’s going to be very emotional leaving Goodison.

We created loads of chances in the early games of the season, guess who was leading the line, yep Maupay, DCL came back for the Villa game and put his head on the line and got concussion, missed a few more games and has been getting his fitness back, during that time we’ve not provided  as many chances, some yes but not as many. I have given him Harrison’s chest skim, Harrison knew nothing about it, it should be recorded as DCLs.
