Sir McGiven reacted to Palfy in Scott McTominay
Quite like him very strong and committed MF with a good attitude and pedigree, could potentially turn out to be another Neville or even much better. I don’t see him as a huge gamble I think he would make a good improvement to the team.

isn't it the very first EPL game of his with us? What is the expectation from the first game which is on away ground on a derby day? I mean, he can be shite eventually I dunno but this comment is a bit harsh IMO.

"Non-urgent" hospital appointments and procedures, including cancer treatments, being put off for the funeral; try telling a cancer patient that their treatment isn't urgent.
Respect should go both ways; and I actually truly believe that if the queen was able to comment on it she'd be appalled at the idea.

Sir McGiven reacted to Cornish Steve in The death of Queen Elizabeth II
I get it: She was a decent sort and very hard-working. I made clear my opinion on that earlier. What's nauseating is the over-the-top reporting; that's my complaint. It's like being force-fed on a diet of pure saccharin with no end in sight.

Am I the only one becoming fed up with the ever-more ridiculous fawning over royalty? I'm wondering how much longer before the head of an inter-galactic alliance shows up to claim the queen was an inspiration to them, too.

I'll be honest Palf mate, personally I think those closest to crossing the line were those who (yourself included) thought it OK to call another member evil.
I know several members outside of TT, including Steve and yourself, and I'm not going to get into what he said; he's more than capable of defending his own corner.
But I can tell you that the man is the very antithesis of evil; put politics/religion/nationalism/royalism (or lack of) to one side, he's been a great friend to me for many years now and is one of the good guys.

Great story👍
I have today been banned from a Facebook group (about a holiday destination) after they invited comments on Liz 2 but said anyone making disrespectful ones would be removed. I made no disrespectful comment, I simply questioned the authority of Facebook admins to police what was respectful and what wasn't.
Banned with no explanation, their loss😂
Good job we're not so trigger happy on here, we'd have no members left!

Sir McGiven got a reaction from Hafnia in The death of Queen Elizabeth II
As a Turkish person, the only thing that connects me to her is/was my granpa. It's a well-known information in my family that he was deeply in love with her, even grandma was knowing it and mocking him as she was aware how delusional he was about Elizabeth. But yeah, my grandpa was thinking that she was so beautiful. Actually before getting married to my grandma, he tried to get on a ship, reach to UK by think that he may find a way to talk about his love to her. He was a good man, a very dedicated, good father/grandfather but a crazy man as well, in his own craziness. My grandpa passed away 14 years ago, and my dad's first reaction to the news yesterday was "Now my dad can have a real chance to go after her".
I am neutral when it comes to my feelings about her. She is, though, definitely an important part of the modern day history. That's for sure. My condolences to those in this forum who cares about her and the royal family.

Liz Truss, on record as being anti-royal, visits queen; two days later, queen dead....tea cup laced?
Just saying.

Looks like a pretty damn good transfer so far. this kid and his gameplay has been joy to watch so far. I am really keen to see his development at Everton.

Well, Turkish league is garbage but sometimes getting away from your comfort zone or going to a place where you worse is the best for that community may bring your self-confidence back. To be honest, I don't think Besiktas can match-up his buy-out price so probably he'll back. So, it can work out for Everton if he focuses on his job, otherwise he'll be a garbage as he is now, nothing to win, nothing to lose.

yeah, that is why Besiktas is the perfect place for him. we like mental, old "wonderkid" prospects very much and giving them chances
maybe he shines here in Turkey, let's see.

I think he is the player rumoured to have an issue with sleeping tablets, his complexion/face looks different. His eyes have a dullness about them and his face looks puffy. Can’t put my finger on it but it’s similar to Muhammad Ali, it’s a look that says a certain spark isn’t there.

Sir McGiven got a reaction from Aidan in Dele
I think it is going to be revenge of the Cenk's transfer.
Couldn't make it in Tottenham. (Even with Mou, he loves footballers with weird personalities)
Couldn't make it here, since he has been transferred. Can't even make in Lampard's first 11.
I think this guy has some mental problems. Problem attitude, he is going into deep shite. There is no way up from Besiktas, which is the team I support as many of you know, here in Turkey. Turkish football goes backwards both on the pitch and economically. It ofc includes Besiktas. So, I think it will be a transfer to hit and run. I might be wrong, he can prove himself here but pretty long shot IMO.

Sir McGiven reacted to RuffRob in Aston Villa (Away) 13th August
With DCL injured did we know before kick off we need a striker? yes, so no real surprises. Rondon did help show we are much better with a proper striker on. Lampard said before the game Rondon not fit enough for full game, so in this heat he would have been done by half time. I am guessing as we almost stole a point at the end - Rondon was more effective coming on later in the game than he would have been if he'd have started - could maybe argue 10-15mins earlier should have been the call.
The club are working on bring in another striker, so the part of the pitch is going to improve.
Defensively we are much much better already this season even though we have still had to chop and change the CB in our first two game.
Last season we would have lost this game 3 or 4 to nil. This season we where ultimately unlucky not to nick a point in the last 10mins. So green shoots of improvement for me.
Given all the changes this summer, I am not yet expecting us to go away and beat better squads of player just yet. So no need for any sort of inquisition or panic buttons.

It must be the defect of being a promising young talent in a struggling, underperforming side. "I am the only one who is trying to do something" kind of behavior maybe, don't know. I have sensed the same from his actions, his body-language. I can't tell this is what it is but, I don't like it either. Nevertheless, it can be controlled with a proper mental assistance.

By far his best performance of the season. Hopefully he can back that up after the international break.
