Forgot to tell everyone that we greatly enjoyed our trip! The food, the drink, the Beatles Tour, the Cavern Club, and of course the 4-0 ass whooping of United was all amazing! Thanks for the tips everyone, can't wait to get back.

Thanks everyone, I was hoping to wait till member sale to save money and have a better selection than what’s on stubhub now, but I guess it’d be piece of mind to just get them soon.  Finn, this is my 5th season now.  After the 2014 WC I said I wanted to get into it more, PL was being shown more on tv in the states and I had several buddies that had clubs they rooted for.  I researched for a few days and chose Everton, blue is my favorite color, I love toffee, I liked their rich history, and Tim Howard was the keeper at the time.  Now i rarely miss a match and have my little kids into it as well.  They’re a frustrating club at times but I love it, and as a Philadelphia sports fan I’m used to frustration.

Thanks everyone, my wife ended up booking us at a Hotel Indigo. Barry I’d be up for walking to Goodison but my pregnant wife will probably veto that. Aidan I am a first timer and thought about Gwladys end but scored some first row in the Paddock, towards that end tho so hopefully will get to experience it some.
How bout game day? Probably walk around Anfield in the morning just to see it then hit The Winslow for pregame beers?

Hey all, our trip is getting close! Only a few weeks now, ramping up our planning attempts. I know folks gave recommendations of things earlier, we had a great Air B and B right across from Goodison but that fell thru. Anyone have an affordable hotel they like that is easy access to Goodison and City Center? Or a particular neighborhood we should look for an Air B and B in? Thanks!

Interested to know how long have you supported us? Your wife has done you proud with such a 40th present. It’s mine this year. We play united away the day before

I used to have my season ticket in the park end and it was always spot on. If you can get a ticket anywhere near the half way line in the bullens road you will have a cracking view.

Depends what you're after. Atmosphere wise the Gladys Street (be wary of getting a ticket at the back of the stand as when everyone stands up the roof will block your vision of the pitch) or Bullens Road as you might get a bit of patter with the away fans, views either Park end if you prefer to be behind the goal or top balcony (if you're not scared of heights) at the side of the pitch.
Stubhub is probs best for a ticket as the only tickets available on the official site will be obstructive views.

No idea really, I’ll let the others answer.
Enjoy your trip. Goodison is a special place, I always get a bit emotional when I go back there
