  1. In 15-20 years when the Goodison Parks, Fratton Parks and Craven Cottages follow the Victoria Grounds, Highburys and Baseball grounds into the history books, you'll miss them when you're sitting in the Stanley Park Superdome (or whatever might replace Goodison). Football is becoming uniformed. Comfort is good, but newer grounds are definately more sterile than the old, traditional ones. I couldn't do it every week though...
  2. Yeah, Somebody on the Reading forum suggested that Hunt and Johnson were dancing a fandango. I thought Goodison was a great, traditional ground, good atmosphere (at least there was in the away end, I couldn't see the rest of the stadium). The View could have been better though, I believe we were allocated the Upper tier but didn't end up taking the tickets (probably because the club thought we couldn't sell them all) Wouldn't have done any harm to call it unreserved seating and let us up there, the view couldn't have been much worse... It beats a trip to Southampton or Derby, thats for sure - you can't beat tradition... If you want Sidwell in an Everton shirt, you'd better hope he swaps shirts again when we play next season
  3. Hope you enjoy, thought you might like them. All taken by yours truly... Dixie Dean Immortalised The fantastic view from the away end Traditional seating arrangements, Iron and Wood Kevin Doyle goes down, and all surround him in concern Doyle's replacement seems uneasy about filling his team-mates boots Reading fans get into the spirit of things, keeping the blue and white flag flying high The scoreboard hides the church - no room for religion in football Giant numbers on the end of the stand direct you to your row - Retro... Mike Riley gives Johnson a free kick Mike Riley explains precisely why he's given Everton a Free kick in a dangerous position, right at the end of the game Marcus Hahnemann deals with the free kick, turning the ball over the bar The media circus follows Stephen Hunt after the game Steve Sidwell swaps shirts at the end of the game, and walks off at Goodison with an Everton shirt on his back - hopefully not an omen... Marcus Hahnemann gives his shirt away to one of his fans
