The mascherano deal is being held up due to the way he is owned. Something like 3 parties own him, so there are some odd going ons. It may even be the case he was not even eligible for west ham, which could result in a points deduction for them

This rule has not been bent just for us. fifa have also done it with other players. They especially look at the point at west ham he wont be given a chance to play.
