  1. Are my eyes going wonky or is the colour of the new kit a bit washed out. http://www.facebook.com/Everton Close but not "exactly" royal blue IMO.
  2. So you would rather a win v Wigan and for us to not beat City and Spurs then ?
  3. OK. Anyone know what the situation is re: the Europa league. From my understanding there are 3 places for English teams. Whoever finishes 5th, FA CUP winners and Mickey Mouse Cup Winners BUT Given that the FA CUP semis comprise of RS (qualified), Chelski (prob finish 5th or 6th) and Spurs Prob finish 5th or 6th) and Everton. Will we qualify for Europe just by reaching the final or will it just open up to whoever finishes 6th in the league?. Cheers.
  4. Thats what he's always done. As good as he is at times he has always been a liability, giving the ball away unnecessarily. Thats why I wasnt sad when he left (but was strangely happy when he returned). Maybe people didnt notice but in seasons past he was responsible for a number goals against us.
  5. Doyle is a decent player. Liked him at Reading and also from what Ive seen of him since hes been at Wolves. OK, hes not EXACTLY what we are looking for (goals) but he would be a pretty good addition to the squad. He may have only scored 2 goals this season but hey, that would have him near the top of our goal scorers list.
  6. When I was growing up we were always talked about as title contenders. So you like us being underdogs and expect we always will be?. Where's your ambition?.
  7. Why does Moyes insist on playing the likes of Phil Neville in midfield (and Heitinga for that matter). OK, perhaps play 'em there away against the likes of Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal etc but against the powerhouses of WEST BROM and BOLTON?????? That is just negative, While Bilyaledinov has been a bit shit surely its games against the West Broms and Boltons of the world where he and other PROPER midfielders should be given a chance ahead of defenders played out of position. I've never been one of the "Moyes Out" brigade but hes starting to test my patience. RANT OVER.
  8. Maybe he should watch the 1st half v Man Utd at Old Trafford last season, and the first half of the same fixture at Goodison a few weeks back and see how absolutely AWFUL he was. If you want to play more games then you have to perform better. It was no surprise that you were subbed at half time in both of those games. Tottally out of your depth.
  9. He gave away the penalty v Liverpool. One of the pens v Blackburn. Was responsible for the QPR goal (totally out of position and let his man go). Thats enough to be dropped if there is an adequate replacement. Didnt see the Villa game or the League Cup games so dont know how he performed in them. Too harsh to blame him for the 1st Man City goal but it could be said (by some, but not me) that his deflection was how it ultimately got past Howard
  10. Dunne's playing?, great!. Good chance he'll give away a penalty.
  11. Arteta is a great player and would like to have kept him BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, at least that leaves BAINES to take the free kicks and penalties as he rightfully should. Much better than Arteta at those duties.
  12. "We're Forever Everton", is a far superior song to "Grand Old Team" which I find cringe worthy, its great when the crowd sing it but over the tannoy its embarrassing, sounds like someones Granddad singing it and to make matters worse the song consists of 4 or 5 IDENTICAL verses. The song should be half as long as it is. Or better still, play "..Forever Everton" in place of "Grand Old Team" and confine "Grand Old team" to the paltry 1 play per match day. Rant over.
  13. It was out of Baines and Fellaini. Went with the hairy one.
  14. While David Jones wouldnt be the answer as far as many Evertonians are concerned, he's not the worst choice in the world. Cardiff play some decent stuff and on a very, VERY limited budget. He's been there a while too so he's not one to complain about lack of funds (perfect for Kenwright). He's arguably been more successful with Cardiff than Moyes was with Preston. Certainly would prefer Dave Jones than some of the names mentioned here like Sven, Jewell, Lee Clark and did someone mention the Norwich manager who has done a good job?. Sorry but that just reminds me of Mike Walker and I dont want to go down that road again.
  15. He only played the odd game for Tottenham and to me he looked the business then.
