  1. i watch carnegie premier league football every week and would also have a good knowledge of the eircom league down south, seamus coleman is an outstanding attacking right back, but tbh wouldnt be ready yet, no harm in keeping an eye on him.
  2. assuming we beat brann in the next round, are we likely to be home or away first in the next round against rosenberg/fiorentina?
  3. were part of moyesys army and were off to wembley, hows the rest it go?
  4. he looked good for zenit @ Goodison, he played off the striker then if i remember correctly? is that his natural position, or can he play wide?
  5. i suppose when you compare to the premier league, but it seemed big to us at the time.
  6. if we beat sk brann, could be another trip to norway to face rosenberg or maybe a trip yo tuscany to take on fiorentina.
  7. good draw if you ask me, best we could have hoped for. my local club glentoran, who i watch every week home and away, drew sk brann in 2006 uefa cup qualifying rounds, and we ran them close, only going down 0-2 on aggregate, bear in mind they a full time team in full flight of their season and we were part-timers just starting pre-season, and throughout my years watching the glens, they were one of the worst european teams i have seen at the oval. stadium in bergen was decent, bergen and norway as a whole is very expensive.
  8. Yes please! Great holding midfield player, similar in many ways including age to Vogel, would not say no to either play, but would rather have Albelda. Age is my only worry, a few of the posters above have stated the likes of Abou Diaby, Diarra, Song, Appiah, which if I am honest would all be good options. I wonder what DM will do?
  9. Sent off tonight...still he sounds like a decent player.
  10. Thanks for info Minitrap! So if Pienaar is a right winger, does this mean we could see Mikel shifted to the left hand side?
  11. Good signing IMO, now he is onboard, does this mean we are not getting Vogel or are we gonna get both? can anyone clear up the confusion over this lad Pienaars position?
  12. where does this guy play? football manager has him down as a left back, but any reports i have seen have him down as a right back, would be great if he was a left back.
  13. Cant wait for the game against northern ireland, being played in Coleraine, which is on the north coast of the island, about an hour 20 mins from belfast on train.
  14. You are soo right, whatever player I have on my top is the position I play on said day at 5-a-sides, my impression of Arteta aint great though, im more like BT wide on the right ha! In the last sorta fiver years I've had loadsa different players, and like to change them quite alot! 01/02 H : Radzinski 8 A : Unsworth 6 02/03 H : Rooney 18 A : Li Tie 12 T : Yobo 20 03/04 H : Yobo 20 A: Rooney 18 04/05 H : Kilbane 14 A : Osman 21 T : Hibbert 28 05/06 H : Yobo 4 A : Cahill 17 06/07 H : Johnson 8 A : Lescott 16 I always wait until DM finalises his numbers and they go on the web site, which is holding me back from getting Arteta. So if he stays Arteta 6 on the away and Lescott 16 or a new signing on the home.
