  1. Both these signings would be brilliant in my eyes. Yakubu is fast, strong and knows where the goal is (Drogba anyone?)! I can't remember ever having 2 strikers who can score 15 + in a season..... As for Fernandes, the mouthwatering partnership with Arteta is too good to resist! Still only 21 and with a blossoming future ahead of him, he could become a star here!
  2. Any links for todays game other then evertontv?
  3. I hate to speculate, but for all we know Keanes words could have been merely an excuse for him not signing for them?
  4. Isn't that all we are basing his move to us on to though?
  5. -----------------Howard--------------------- Neville-------Yobo*-------Lescott-----Velente Pienaar-----Carsley*-----Cahill-------Arteta -------------Johnson----Vaughan*---------- This would be my first choice with the team we have now, apart from Pienaar we are waiting on a permit. I suspect that Yobo will be replaced by Jagielka when Yobo goes off to compete for the African nations, but I fully expect Jags to be knocking on the door all season. If we get this Vogel character, he may replace Carsley- or atleast offer competition. Vaugan would be my choice striker, but he is obviously injured- so McFadden, Anichebe and Beattie will be fighting for his place.
  6. I like it, but I hope the chang on the design is blue instead of green, it'd look much nicer then!
  7. hopefully not.... He was good in his first season, but since his injury he hasn't been as good. He't a cheat who will demand high wages, we are better off without him.
  8. Isn't that why its in the 'Everton Transfer Rumours' section?
  9. I'm with you on this one. I'm nottoo fussed how long the 'sagas' last as long as we getthe right plyers in the end Jagielka, Baines and Nugent would all be good signings for us I think- Although we don't want to be paying way too much like other clubs are! As you mentioned, we also need some half decent wingers! I think we really missed out by letting Tuncay go to middlesbrough, the only problem maybe being wages. We have been linked with Downing today, who I think would be good but 10 million has been mentioned which I thinks a little too much.
  10. I agree, a 10 mil figure does seem very high for us!!! I would say that half that and add BT onto the deal would sound quite fair!
  11. Supposedly, we are lauching a bid for Stuart Downing. I know its not that good a source- but we havn't had that much to play with in recent weeks! http://www.squarefootball.net/article/transfer.asp?tid=492 After being linked with Tottenham Hotspur for a number of years, England winger Stewart Downing is now attracting attention from Everton boss David Moyes, keen to add some width to his Toffees squad. A cash offer of £7m plus James Beattie and Andy van der Meyde is being mooted although 'Boro remain loathe to lose a player who has come through the ranks at the Riverside Stadium and who remains an effective performer at club level, despite the criticism he has attracted in an England shirt. I don't lke the look of that 7 Million to be honest, and we would be losing 2 of our already small squad! Yet, we do need a left winger!
  12. I'm not too fussed myself, I like him as a striker, but for 7 million I don't think he is worth it! I wouldn't be particulary displeased if we did get him though!
  13. To be honest, I havn't seen much of him. From what I hear is is a good alround midfielder who can score a goal or 2. I think he would be a good signing, maybe he would be replace Osman? Or if he is the all rounder I hear about- a long term replacement for Carsley? Don't know about the latter comparison though......
  14. lol, yes- maybe it should be stricken from the record! But I do think it illistrates the point that there are very few good wingers available in today market for me to even mention Kilbane again!
