  1. Happy fooking Birthday you potty mouthed bastard! (Please note everyone must swear in each post in the c*nting thread - it's what he'd want!!!)

Spot on, I've got a bastard behind the eye! Thank you all! Off to the game in a min (not match fit today!) COYB
  3. Never too much!!! I love him already and he's only played 20mins plus a reserve game - instant legend!
  4. Agreed - luckily we seem to have a steady flow coming through. The Barkley whispers we shared in the past couple of years, the Rodwell whispers previous to that and the Rooney whispers even further back will fast become Lundstrom and Hope whispers... It beats Branch, Barlow and Chadwick any day but for every Rooney, Rodwell and Barkley there's at least 10 who don't make it at any decent level every season.
  5. Danny Fox and Anthony Gerarrd both went to Walsall - from there they both went on to better things. Expected more from of them but maybe they just weren't that good as neither have reached Prem level again (SPL doesn't count!)
  6. Right on cue! Posting as you mention him! - he did have problems with his daughter alongside other problems didn't he.
  7. Doubt it - he's forged a very good career in league football and as a captain - JPK seems a good shout. I reckon players like Nyarko, Fernandes, Kroldrup, VDM may be good shouts - all had an odd time at EFC.
  8. I think we'll definately be in for Donovan on-loan in Jan, also I genuinely think we'll be in for Rodellega if Wigan can't tie him down. He'll have 6months left come Jan and I think the prospect of staying in the Prem and NW would be a very good option - would imagine £4m tops.
  9. I'm sure the mail just read kipper - we've signed Moutinho about six times according to them... and I fell for it 5 times!
  10. Made it up - that's what people do on here don't they! 31% are the minor shareholders - what doesn't show up as a named person when the percentages are broken down on official/unofficial sites.
  11. or Ferdinand and Heskey - or a combo of any of the 4!
  12. Matthew Briggs - he looks decent too!
  13. On that basis it would cost £16m to buy the remaining 31% of the club. Here's the maths... 8754 = 25% so x4 35016 = 100% Club shares value = £52,524,000 on the basis of each share worth £1500 so x0.31 £16,282,440 = 31% Obviously it's not that simple!!!
  14. Jags and Distin doesn't seem to work (in terms of clean sheets) although both being excellent defenders. I think Distin has looked the better of the 2 for a while now but I also remember more costly errors (goal conceeded) have come from Distin switching off rather than Jagielka's poor distribution/dilly-dallying. I actually feel safer with Jags although in saying that Heitinga and Distin did seem to compliment each other - an odd dillema.
  15. Woods 19%, Earl 23%, Carter 2% add Kenwrights 25% makes 69% by my calculations! Why can't someone buy the 31% unaccounted for and work from inside? I need someone with business knowledge to explain this to me!
  16. Hayward is a lot older than Kenwright and was when he let go of Wolves, plus he's a lot lot richer - totally different situations. You can't deny that Hayward is a legend though, been lucky enough to meet him a few times when I was a kid and last year at a Wolves youth players do.
  17. Would you have prefered Johnson stay in control? Imagine if you were blessed to have the money where you're in a position to take-over the club you love and save us from where we were under Johnson's regime! Sorry but you haven't got a valid argument there. Kenwright took over the club and did an excellent job. It's got to the stage though where football has changed and become more and more a money mans game. It is time for BK to move on and he knows that so we will see what happens... I could say "watch this space!"
  18. Teams buy potential though so he's worth a lot more than £15m!
  19. £45,000 a season, wow! - okay you're right in that they may not all sell but probably as they are over priced as we have so few! Most clubs have 50 odd. I stand by this is a stream where we are missing out and it would make a massive difference if we could exploit this avenue. Maybe the Park End corporate development would help. It's obviously something the club have identified too.
  20. I would imagine they would though if they were top notch facilities.
  21. I get what you mean and no I wouldn't sell either and nor would anyone to do with EFC in their right mind, so he's therefore worth a lot more than £15m especially in this current market.
  22. I'd imaging the boxes are bought by companies/sponsors for the season - so it makes no difference if people are in them, they're still paid for. It's not just match day where coporate facilities make money. If you look into what happens at other clubs on non-match days you will see how important modern and plentiful coporate facilities are.
  23. Nothing to do with a future owner being a fan. Our problem lies with GP not making enough money through coporate revenues (in my opinion). The current owners are trying to address this with the development behind Park End which I pressume is still going ahead eventually? Do we know Lerner was going to buy us a new stadium? Is that what Bill's holding out for - someone who will promise us that?
