I missed Beckford vs Bolton as the driver on the day had one on him and demanded to leave 85th min before a 2hr drive home - similar to leaving at 1-3 vs Man.Ure... we'll learn 1 day!!!

Going mad over a J.P.McManus take-over deal on the back of something Micky Quim said on Talkshite!
Micky Quim added a bit of meat on what he knows (or doesn't) today... he said the banks aren't giving us money as noone on our board is willing to do so either - so we're either stuck with criminals who are going to just kill us or they're no longer putting in as they expect to be selling soon?
He did mention there are rumours going round about JP McManus interest and although didn't put his own opinion to it, he mentioned he's a huge sports fan and often goes to Man.Ure/Shite matches.
He also mentioned Arteta deal was set-up after Blackburn game and we let it drag to get more money out of the deal.
When asked if any of that money would be available in Jan he acknowledged that £15m had been raised and didn't know what would be available in Jan.
He says he's got inside sources but Talkshite prides itself on speculating so read with a pinch of salt!

Had no idea on this one so I looked it up (no-one close yet btw...nothing to do with the war
).Without giving anything away what struck me is how amazingly close the table was that year....champions had fifty-two points and last had thirty-six! I know it was only two points for a win (would be 73 points to 50 now) but that's still a very small spread...wonder if it's ever been closer.
Long shot based on how close it ended and 2 points for a win - could they have say 18 or 19 wins and it's a record amount of wins for a relegated side?

Just had a scary thought, he has earned over £20m in wages from us.
Ridiculous amount but to be fair up to 18months ago he had earned those wages - has/had been an excellent Moyes signing.

To be fair we have a decent squad but if we get injuries in key areas it will be tough. Luckily we have a fair few versatile players within the squad.
I can see certainly McCaleny (sp) and maybe players like Mustafi, Garbutt, Femi Orengu (sp) and Wallace called upon, at least as bench fillers this season.

I was thinking how miserable he looked, but to be fair, some guys don't like smiling, or think it spoils their image. Look at Grahame Sharp for an example of this.
I'm sure if he didn't want to come here he wouldn't have.

Anichebe is not an option, Saha we will be lucky to get 20 games out of, which means a raw velios and or an unproven Leicester reject for 20 plus games. Scary.
Anichebe has played as a lone striker in the last 2 games so like it or not, he's a serious option.

If saha doesn't stay fit then moyes needs to play another of his strikers not just cahill or felli up top. Felli can't go anywhere for now (until Jan!)
We play 1 striker and we have 4 options in Saha, Anichebe, Denis and Velios - I hope Saha stays fit and Denis is a lot better than Anichebe. I can see Velios getting some game time this season which doesn't disappoint me as I have been encouraged by what I've seen.
