  1. And a happy new year to you too! As Louis says i'm entitled to my opinion and though my ideal location for us would've been Walton Hall Park it seems cllr Bradley ruled that out at a very early stage - why? The loop just isn't big enough, someone I know bumps into cllr Bradley on a regular basis and told me that Bradleys 'big thing' he's currently telling fellow blues on the stadium move is he thinks we can and will stay at Goodison - not the sound of a man who thinks the loop is a real goer and enthusiastically advancing it as an option is it? Kirkby is not the dream location for the club but the club hasn't the right to pick and choose locations, would you be overjoyed if someone said we could build in Speke or Gillmoss because a big enough site had been found there? I wouldn't be happy with Speke but would be happy enough with Gillmoss, but would Gillmoss cost a hell of a lot more to build without Tesco on board? You bet it will. I trust the words of people like Bill Kenwright, Sir Terry Leahy and Robert Earl on this stadium move - you don't - fine.
  2. ASDA can't win the battle because Knowsley Council will be the ones making the decision and we know what project they're interwined with, I don't expect Gordon Brown will want to upset his friend Sir Terry when it gets referred to the govt too.
  3. I'd like our new home end to be called the "Goodison End" - at least journalists and commentators would be able to bring in the word Goodison into all future match reports and commentaries and the like - like "Everton are attacking their favourite end - the Goodison End' and when we're attacking the other way we'll "have the Goodison faithful behind us". Its little things like that that matters to me rather than the location. Our new ground will no doubt have a sponsors name as thats the way things are moving now but there's no reason why we can't have an underlying name like 'New Goodison' or something like that, Arsenal play at Ashburton Grove but due to their deal with Emirates will play at the 'Emirates Stadium' for a number of years.
  4. To be honest I don't care about the loop, a much better place in the city would be Walton Hall Park but the council for some reason ruled that out very early on - ok for the rs to build on a park though . I'm just happy our stadium move in Kirkby is gathering pace now.
  5. That's good news, things had been quiet for a while for things seem to be moving now.
  6. I'd take him without a second thought - quality is quality is quality at the end of the day.
  7. He'll do a great job there, hopefully we'll get someone like Reidy as the new no.2.
