The manager knows what he's doing.
To our dismay he managed a 3-0 deficit to win champions League.
Im pretty sure he knew what was and wasn't working but wanted to ensure he gathered his data and instructions.
You think he was right to keep doing what we were in the first half? It was as bad as any game I've seen, struggling to get out of our half, terrible short corners, and just the one shot. Why not change it at half time?
They didn't win because of him, they won in spite of him. Kewell injury and Shevchenko misses played a much bigger part. Only thing I was dismayed at was the bookies being closed, I tried to bet on them at half time.

Realized his mistake with the 5 at the back, made the change to bring Gomes on, and has us sitting at 10 points.
Also, we went down 1-0 to both Burnley and Soton and came back to score 3 unanswered. You can see it on the pitch after the match, there's a real cohesion between the coach and the players.
Love what I'm seeing so far. Well played, Rafa.
He'd deserve credit if he changed it before we went one down. Clear as day it wasn't working in the first half. Why wait until the score?

Pickford deserves a special mention. Constantly bollocking them for more movement and eventually fucked off the short passing which helped get us the ball in the oppositions half and playing faster. Rafa will probably bollock him for going against orders even though he's saved him from a backlash today.
First half Pickford gave Keane (and the other two) an earful and the cheeky git argued back. All the centre halves needed to take more responsibility. Keane, even with the goal he failed to acknowledge Townsend until he realised his teammates had ran to Townsend rather than himself. Mina easily the better of the three, Godfrey can't complain at coming off, it was a toss up between him and Keane.
Coleman and Digne were both solid but unimpressive. Although I did like to see Digne win a couple of headers he had no right to.
Allan. Not been overly impressed with him, seeing him in the flesh, now even less so.
Doucoure. Beautiful pass for his assist. Would be motm if not for his first touch.
Gray. Lively but wasn't quite coming off for him. Same would be said about Townsend, but then it clicked and what a ball for the first. Changed the game.
Richi. Ran all day but should have been winning more than he was. Too often he'd back in too much and they'd just poke the ball away from him.

He can't even get into the Rangers team. Crazy fee for an untried right back.

We know that red card won't be getting rescinded because there were no crocodile tears.
Joke of a red. Second goal was offside as well.

Not seen the video, was commenting theoretically.
Ah, fair enough. In the vid the last jog @3:20 is very telling, his posture/form has gone out the window.

Rondon looks like he's struggling, could be a few weeks before his fitness is there.

If you remember clear as day maybe you can link to where you got the info and put us all out of our misery.
Googling "james rodriguez to get pay rise in second year at everton" gives diddly squat to back it up.
I thought Haf was just joining in with the absurd statements taking the piss like the rest of us.

Eagerness is immedietely apparent while fitness needs a longer look, so I'd say yes.
The video is a longer look, not just a snippet of him warming up, it's a little bit of everything. At the end of it he's clearly knackered, and throughout you can tell he's struggling.
As his eagerness goes. I don't see how anyone can judge he's not trying based on the video, he's not given up and he's forcing himself to try and keep up.

is believed to have accepted a pay cut on his £140,000-a-week wage to be reunited with his former manager at Real and Bayern Munich.
This was the general type of figure before the media/fans turned on him.

fuckin hell lads, 3 minutes of training video and we've drawn conclusions on the fitness of our squad!!
Rondon didn't look the most eager trainer, I'd imagine he'll get some game time on Monday but not a massive amount.
James probably happy to have another Spanish speaking South American to joke around with, him and Mina always seem like their having a great crack.
So you can't judge fitness on a short video, but you can judge eagerness?

Rondon and James struggling and no sign of Richarleson or did I miss him.
Noticed James as well but didn't think he was as bad. That last jog both of them are moving their shoulders far too much compared up Gbamin.
No idea where Richarlison is.

Police in the UK. Yet another snide bully dodging prison.

... and his boundless energy is a big plus at right-back.
I'm a big Davies fan but even I wouldn't say he's got boundless energy. As square pegs go he's an option but depends more on the opposition. If tactically you want the right back to be bombing down and overlapping Godfrey would be the better option.

Until Rafa come there was very little mentioned about his wages (and they were initially reported about £90k). Really hope it's not the club asking the papers to push the witch hunt.

Who are you dropping for him then Pete?
Allan. Out performed him last season.
Ancelotti said Davies was the player most like himself. Ferguson and Alladyce put him straight in. Koeman stopped him going to the kids world cup as he wanted him around the first team. All bar Silva have rated him. Find it mad our fans don't get behind him.

Seems to be that it is the second season after a major injury that a player gets his form back ( if they get it back at all). Let’s hope.
Don't get why the injury even gets brought up. He was at his worse before it.

@dunlopp9987 @duncanmckenzieismagic you think we should keep Delph over Davies?

You enjoyed the first half? I appreciate more than just results.
We play like we did today and more often than not we'll not get the three points. Burnley outplayed us for 60 minutes.
