Watch them change the rules now so that deductions only happen during pre season and we end up being the only team to get one mid season.

Better side but very sloppy at both ends of the pitch.
I’ve got to laugh at the comments ripping Gomes when he’s been our best midfielder since coming on .

Poor defending for their goals and lack of composure/quality when we've had opportunities.
We could've probably scored 2 and had a penalty as well.

Onana was very good throughout the game... But that penalty?!?!?!
I think he saw his name in lights but unfortunately the arrogance was not well placed.
    Absolutely gutted.

First half we were fucking brilliant. At one point it flashed up on the screen that we'd had 37% possession and I was actually surprised because it hadn't felt that way at all due to us being the side that looked dangerous, and like the side that would score (and score a few at that). I admit, though, that come half time when we hadn't made our chances count I was worried that it would be like many other home games this season where we are the better side but then go on to lose the game.
That worry only increased in the second half as we weren't as threatening at all and with 20 minutes to go Newcastle were starting to really control things and look like it would be them to take the lead. If they had then I didn't think we'd have it in us to come back to get anything from the game. But then we found our clinical edge and went bang, bang, bang with the chances that fell our way.
I'm so proud of the team tonight - to a man, they all performed. They all gave everything. And all the fans in the ground gave them everything in return. I'm hoarse from urging them on and then singing my heart out to show my appreciation for their efforts.
Take 30 points off us if you like, we're going fucking nowhere.

Just read a piece saying that he's actually worked miracles financially for us in this window.
Allegedly, the only fee that has been spent is the £3m loan fee for Danjuma. Beto and Chermiti fees have both (allegedly) been kicked down the road until the start of the next fiscal year.
If true, he's done a great job.

I was trying to explain to the kids around me that were slagging him off, if the keeper is on fire there's not much more you can do and both Sa and Leno had stormers. On their off days, we have 6 points instead of 0, no doubt in my mind.

We are definitely looking for that finisher but these 2 home performances have been without McNeil, DCL and an unsettled back 4. We were cheated first game, we were inches this game. Much like the Fulham game, they had the ball but didn't do anything with it.
I'm not going to worry until the window closes. Might get nervous then, but probably not.
The biggest enemy is the media at the moment. Were ripe for clicks and that means cash, so wind fans up and you'll get more clicks. We have to be smarter than that.

Sucker punched again. Completely inexplicably too with Tarkowski switching off.
I thought there were a lot of positives to take from the game. Onana had another good performance, Doucoure was as busy as ever, Branthwaite stepped up in his first appearance of the season, Patterson was solid too.
I thought Young and Gueye had poor games. Danjuma looks a bit toothless at the moment. Garner played some quality balls but I wasn't that impressed by his overall game.
As for Dobbin, there is promise there because of his energy and directness but he needs to add quality and composure to his game at the moment (an Everton theme).
You can only think that if we had our best front 3 of McNeil, Dom and Harrison playing together, we would have battered Wolves today.

Think we definitely needed to get this one done more quickly given that DCL is likely to be out for a prolonged period of time.
Still can't believe the run of luck he's on.

We’re not going to win games with Maupay on the pitch. Only positive is the clear cut chances we created but that was absolutely 3 points dropped.

Can't say we've not created enough opportunities. Maupay in the right place, but confidence is woefully poor and he's snatched at them.  He's worked hard for the team though.
