  1. I suppose you have to think about it this way.... yes its good to have alot of heart and gives 100%, but you need more than that in the prem. the Yak is a lazy fooker but scores goals for fun. Im sure moyes have lined up a replacement for him, maybe a loan deal this £11mill will help fund the moutinho deal. who would you rather have? AJ or Moutinho? I also think a strike force of a fully fit cahill/vaughan and the Yak would scare the crap out of premiership sides
  2. also i thought id add villa - sidwell is a poor player and most people didnt want him at everton. so they are welcome to sign him. barry could be off spurs - dos santos is vastly over rated. they are also due to lose keane and berba pompey - swp is pure papertalk at the moment. lost muntari and sol campbell is another year older and another yard slower man city - only signed one player and didnt sign ronaldinho. they have alot of work to do hull/sunderland - buying awful players, good luck to them id rather have no signings than some of the players being picked up by other premiership clubs. fact is that newcastle/villa/blackburn/man city/spurs have not improved dramitically during this pre-season.
  3. yep agree with licker on this one if you look at last summers signings, baines came in on the 7/8 and yak was signed on the 28/8 no need to panic. we tend to always make late summer signings as a club and it works out fine. when we get back from the states, im sure a few players will come in through the door. just because moyes is away, doesnt mean that there are not agents working behind the scenes on securing his transfer targets. does anyone honestly believe moyes hasnt been chasing players? im more excited about seeing more of baxter, gosling and rodwell in up and coming seasons more than who we are going to sign!
  4. how do you know that he just doesnt need a change of country and team to boost him back to his full potential? Nobody spoke about pienaar or arteta in spain and germany, but moyes took a chance because he knew both players had quality. are you saying that you would miss out on signing a world class performer because he has a problem with current form? if thats the case, we shouldnt have gone anywhere near arteta, fernandes, howard, yobo (who was awful at marseille), pienaar and cast your mind back 15 years, one peter beardsley i think he would be a great signing and id welcome to Goodison as for 28 being old.....no chance, like the guy said above, 28 is a prime age for an outfield player.
  5. Dont forget the NOTW were reporting that AJ, Cahill and Arteta were signing for west ham this time last summer And their sister paper the scum constantly reports that arteta is unhappy at Everton and wants out pile of crap paper
  6. Nobody knows, apart from Arshavin and his agent, the following 1. how much he wants 2. how much he's on 3. where he wants to go to 4. if he wants to leave also, only moyes and the board know if we want him or can even afford him! dont call a footballer greedy when you have nothing to back it up with. and that also goes for the guy using the f words moaning about moyes not being interested in him anymore! its all pure paper talk...which 90% is a load of bollocks. if paper talk was true, chelsea would own half of the world footballing population and we would have robbie savage in our midfield. lets see how this one pans out...
  7. Ruddy has kept 8 clean sheets from 12 games for stockport this season, and Iain Turner was outstanding for sheffield wednesday two seasons ago before he got injured. I really rate both keepers, so bringing in a replacement for howard without giving these two a chance is a poor idea. How can keepers step up to the plate to have experience if they dont play? they are both just kids aswell Like Licker said, big Nev played for bury before playing for the first team, whose to say Turner or Ruddy cant step up to plate for seasons to come? we would be better off investing our transfer funds in midfielders
  8. 7.5million for wessels and shandy van der meyde would be incredible business if (ho ho ho) that did happen, moyes should be knighted and be on the next series of the apprentice like the inflated transfer fees from these rumour sites, since when did eidur the shot-shy icelander command a £6.5million transfer fee? also, does anybody actually know much about michael bradley, other than you tube snippets im struggling to remember a decent dutch based import...
  9. a little off topic but still worth asking, if you had a £16-18million bid for arteta, would you accept? bearing in mind, depending if the transfer market goes into over drive after the european championships, you could to pick up fernandes and joaquin with it
  10. queen of the south please good to get some early season shooting practice in
  11. we could always get that nice chap from thailand who lives in manchester, he seems like a decent bloke the kenwright bashing confuses me as im not sure what he has done to deserve all this abuse. i remember fans were calling for moyes to be sacked when he struggled to a 17th place finish, even mentioning disaster area peter reid as his replacement because, quote, he's everton through and through kenwright has always stuck by moyes, and he deserves alot of credit for backing his manager and giving him as much money as he can as for anybody running a football club, are you sure? its not just turning up at match day and sucking up to the odd ken dodd esq celebrity.. im hoping for a long reign for both moyes and kenwright at everton

    West Ham

agree with the above about unsteady freddy and his passion for eating the dirt, two dives in the space of ten mins makes him drogba material. not sure where some of the "we should have lost 4-1/3-1" comments are coming from, the game should have been done and dusted by half time. dont forget that green also made an important save from baines in the second half. however, no denying we looked like the prince of wales sunday morning team in the last 30mins of the game. thankgod we have 8 days til our next game. good news today though with liverpool not only taking a shoeing in the scoreline but losing mascherano, it should mean will come out on top when it turns into a midfield war. i just hope cahill, aj and yobo are back for next weekend bring on the scum
  13. agreed....today we were fooking awful, a complete turn around from wednesday night. however, Fulham were equally as poor and didnt deserve 3pts but thats life i suppose first league defeat since boxing day, so lets not press the panic button just yet. just to cheer everybody up, these up coming fixtures could turn everything on its head Everton: West Ham (h) liverpool (a) derby (h) Liverpool: Utd (a) Everton (h) Arsenal (a) and with Villa having man utd away in two weeks and pompey going to spurs on saturday, you are hoping they might slip up in those games, making 5th spot pretty much ours. this isnt over by any stretch of the imagination if we can pick up 7pts from our next 3 games, we are right back in it
  14. did someone say they blame david moyes for this ? what the fook? why? we battered the 4th best team in italy and if it wasnt for the flying frenchie, we would have handed them a "derby county" great performance, just luck not on our side shows how far we have come in a short period... do you remember this time 10 years ago when we were looking down a great big hole to the then first division? chin up lads and spank fulham on sunday to make up for it....then bring on the red scum
