As it says earlier in the post, its rumours and alleged "in the know" people, however it would make sense has to why Everton havent been bought. There could however be other factors that have contributed to this also. As Trev has mentioned, I also think we will be bought out if DK comes to frution, the club would look "more attractive" to a potential investor.

I can see your point but have to disagree about the level of debt! I thought DK was "only" costing Everton £70-80 Million? Lots of rumours have flown round especially on kipper about what has/hasnt taken place at meetings with potential buyers or investors. IMO I think Bill knows he cant fund the club to take us to the next level but he would like to stay at the club in some capacity, which I think can only be a recipe for disaster. IF and thats a big if, If the reported asking price is £280 million to purchase the club, you can see why Everton havent been taken over, Everton are being priced out of the takeover game.
