    Wasting your breathe mate.....
When peteo chose to slate gana he pretty much came out with all sorts of ridiculous comments as to who was better and why gana is gash.
In stating that Gana was as bad as he is... he had to bump Davies up to level that he isn't.
I really want Davies to do well, I have a mate who used to double date with Davies mum.and dad and he comes from good stock and by all accounts is a crackin lad.... sadly the first team is not for him right now and maybe a loan will do him good

I'll reiterate once people stop making excuses for the lad the better....
Digne played us into trouble also but to say Davies doesn't play himself into trouble is bewildering, the lad undoes what good he does do with ridiculous short passes or to the opposition
He does show for the ball granted but it means nothing if your not productive with it

I very much doubt Barry would have made up for Davies's short falls, as much as I rated Barry those two together would have been one of the slowest central pairings in the history of mankind!
9 minutes 3 fouls and failed to clear the ball, the lad isn't good enough the sooner people stop making excuses for the lad the better
Plays himself and us into trouble nearly every game

Bernard MOTM , but thought Kean , Holgate and even Schneiderlin had good games tonight
Decent performance all round really until Delph and Davies combined to throw the game away in injury time

When I started following Everton we had a guy called Kevin Sheedy playing for us. Best left sided midfielder we've ever had imo, won two league titles, an FA Cup and European Cup Winners Cup with us. Played for Liverpool before us.
The way I see it, not signing a player coz they have previously played for your local rivals is the very definition of a bitter small club mentality. If you want to be the best, petty shit like that shouldn't come remotely into who you do or don't sign.
Back to Can - he would improve our midfield because he can has the athleticism to press properly, something I don't think any of our current lot do. Not sure about £30m though given his injury record.

I think comparing DCL with Lookman is a testament to what hard work and lesser talent can achieve vs lots of talent and a questionable work ethic.

Flash in the pan.  If he hadn’t scored that goal in his first appearance we wouldn’t be talking this.  That elevated the fans and coaches but he never produced much after that.  Too lightweight for this league, not strong enough, not fast enough either, he’s quick but I don’t remember him racing down the pitch dribbling like richarlison or Bernard does.

glad we sold and don’t think he will do well at Newcastle.

He wasn’t brought in for the player he is now, we got him for the player he could be in a couple of years.
Just because there was a big transfer fee doesn’t mean we should expect him to be a world beater today.
Judge him in a couple of seasons.

And Kean scored well in Serie A, which I'm sure 99.9% of people would agree is a more difficult league to play in than the Belgian league. Give him some time FFS. He's barely had a full 90.

He just needs more time and more care in man management - what he had at Juve. He’s a nineteen year old kid in a new country who’s been mismanaged in a team and club that are performing poorly. Give him time support and stability and he’ll come good - Everton has made their problems Kean’s problem.

Established himself in Belgium??? That's an oxymoron right there..... next up you will be telling us how Ian Rush established himself as a goalscorer in the Welsh league.
Fact is this... at the age of 19 you can not judge whether someone will make off as a striker.... his core footballing fundamentals are sound. Pace, control, skill, strength.

But if your gut feel Tell you we need to get rid of a 19 year old when the squad is saddled with Walcotts, niasses, Schneiderleins, gylfis, earning half a million a week between them then maybe it's a good job you're not the DOF

Say what you like Mark but if we got a 25 goals a season striker, Richy would be playing his natural position on the Wing not in the middle.

He's a modern day forward not a striker
In a similar vein to Sterling Mane and co, he's been played there purely because our squad is shite and lacking options imo

Upper arm blatantly used in the area yet nothing given yet again
Should have had at least two penalties

Is Sidebe your new gana Pete?

I mean just imagine if Sidebe did what Tom Davies just did...... it would be like pure fuel for you. Whereas cos it's Tom.... nothing.

No, Richarlison is a winger being played as a striker, its a proper striker we need not another winger.

I don't think anything would have changed personally!
If you want to play like Ferguson this would have been spot on. That team wouldn’t have fared any better in trying to play out from midfield. Holgate would have been destroyed on the ball but at least he might have got close enough to them to make a tackle!

He's 29 and runs like he has lead in his boots.  Is he an intelligent and tidy footballer?  Yes.  Is he what we need?  Not in a million years.  Might as well have kept Davy Klassen.

Best of luck to him and I hope he does well and secures the move and us some money
Always put a shift in and wanted to play just a little too limited here, he'll go to the top of the pile at Palace
