  2. We in America aren't very fond of him. But I say that looking at him as a first team player. He is not a first team player, but I think he could be used as a strategic substitute. He has a lot of speed on the flanks allowing him to cover offensively and defensively. I'm not terribly excited about the move if it happens, but I could see why if they do pick him up. In responding to a post on NSNO, they said with Donovan and Beasley, they could market to the US. Beasley is NOT marketable here, so don't bother. Everton could have a huge following in the US if they make the right moves. I had tons of people here, both football fans and non-football fans, mention Everton's name to me when Donovan had his loan spell. These are potential fans (think merchandising $) who don't follow any premiership club, but would love to pick up a team to follow. They will follow the ones they hear about. And Donovan definitely put Everton on their radars....now if we can just put him there permanantly.
  3. He's another American, I know. Just curious what the rest of you might think of bringing Buddle to Goodison. He's in fantastic form currently for LA Galaxy. And rumor has it that Blackburn have their eyes on him. I'm mostly curious if anyone thinks he might be a good fit for our squad.

    Arsenal (Away)

Probably a better way to put it is "Does anyone have a FREE link to the game?" Even though is says Free Live Footy, they want to charge you. www.iraqgoals.net www.hostream.net These are what I use to watch games.
  5. Better than Beasly, but still wouldn't have him here.
  6. You are delusional. I love Everton, but this season will be a fight to be in the top half of the table. Sorry lads.
  7. A resounding, YES, from me. I've watched him play all last season and the start of this season and I definitely like his play. I say that we bring him on.
  8. He's monster up front too. Saw him play upfront last season and no one could handle him.
  9. That's strange, because I am VERY close to someone who played on squad with him back when he was 14/15 yrs old. No way he was 20 then.
  10. He was the next huge thing back then, but that was only what the media wanted him to be. He's still only 20 yrs right now. He is now starting to come into the form that we had all expected out of him. It's just taken longer than what the media had wanted.
  11. On the financial side of things - Why not pick up a freebie and then if it turns out that the kid can play, the club can sell him off at a profit?
  12. Not sure what I think about this yet... http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/9770...h-Scholes-swoop
  13. That was then....This is now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr5zAvXNyFQ His speed is incredible.
  14. You probably mean Jozy Altidore. 19 years old and as strong as an ox. He needs a few more years. If you are going to sign an American, the nI might conisder Landon Donovan. I know he's kind of sputtered in Europe, but I think it wasn't the right team, or for the right team. Moyes like to find that diamond in the rough, players who for whatever reason didn't perform to their best, and get the absolute best out of them. I think having a speedy forward up top like him would be good for Everton.
