Here's another point that just snapped my mind: Would we have made it to the F.A Cup final and finished 6th in the premiership without Fellaini?

Haha point proven. But you'll probably find he'll score his usual 8 + goals and be our hoofball threat. But for 15 million you do expect more and I hope he can develop his passing. He has a good touch inside the box and can sniff goal, and he is quite flexible (although that fro does him no justice), but its his midfield play which leaves more to be desired. Sometimes he'll break an attack up by playing the ball back or just giving the ball away all together. Then in these pre season games I just see him running to the near post every time he passes the ball... But then again as I said, he's better in the box... And you also just proved the point of why he shouldn't be the DMC.

Fellaini does have his moments though. He is very aggressive and can change games around. However this pre season he's played like he's Segundo Castillo when it comes to passing the ball around. He has lacked the ability to just nod the ball forward to the striker. Quite strange. Any idea why he isn't being employed in a DMC position? Because in my opinion his tackling/defending this pre season has been decent, and its everything else has been poor.
  4. I've been watching some of the Emirates Cup. Dude looks fucking awesome, you can see the potential booming through him. High work rate, excellent passing and a good finisher. I would just like to make this thread detailing this praise. We sure like receiving praise about Rodwell and if all goes to plan Rodwell will be the current Ferdinand and Wilshere England's Iniesta.
  5. What about Paul Sharner as a temp replacement?

I know its only pre season, but Jo is looking so damn good. The reason I mention him is because all of his flaws I saw last season aren't here. His major flaw was not running back and making a challenge for the ball, and falling over too much. He also couldn't play a pass. Today he's actually held his ground and tried to fight, and some of his passes have been sick. I'll say it again, he wasn't a 18 million man for nothing, and I think it takes a pre season and david moyes to get his lazy mentality killed.

Jo is looking bloody sharp, he's actually trying to win the ball back. Nice Hibbert crosses as well, I think he's been working on them.

    http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/lescott-sidelined.html Hip injury.
  13. AZ apparently got a bid rejected. PSV in the running too. I think its safe to say we're out.
  14. Another Arsenal forum quote: The question we need to ask ourselves is: Will he fill Lescott's gap? No use in him 'being good in 4 years' when we have a mini crisis now. But maybe he could be worth 6 million now, and 20 million in 4 years. Who knows. But then again, we could get Neill for 6 million and we'd only get like 2 seasons out of him..... Senderos is a good long term investment. But we have problems now. That's the issue.
  15. Tim Cahill's cousin is a rugby league player.........
  16. Here's a quote from an Arsenal forum. So between the lines, he's shite, unless Moyes can save his arse.
  17. Yep and it was exactly the same lol. Left side, floated.
  18. I rate Senderos kinda highly. He has a rock mentality and is quite intelligent, despite some of his mistakes. If Lescott got sold, it would be good and bad. I'll start with the good. We'd get money. I don't think we have money at the moment. The dough would allow us to fill our right midfield liability, and with Lescott gone we'd need to buy a Left Back for cover. The bad is that Lescott is a safe option to start the season at least 'ok' when it comes to the back 4. When the new guy (if it be Senderos, Michael Turner, Gary Cahill) or whoever comes in, he'll have to hold that position until October. An irregular to our style of play, and obsolete to our pre season. It is risky, but if City keep going the way they are I can assure that Lescott will go. Lets look at Senderos again. I like him. But will he be able to bang bang bang adapt before August 15 as the number one guy until October? I know as it is, Moyes wants another CB on top of Lescott (because he thinks we'll keep him) so it probably wouldn't just be Senderos coming in for DC. But still, he'd be our main dude.
  19. I'd call him the Tony Hibbert of CB. He's a rock in that he can tackle, head and jump, but is prone to the occasional error and is uncomfortable on the ball. Would be good next to Jags. Not sure about Yobo :S
  20. 1. Jutkiewicz 2. Anichebe - Should get a decent amount for him; he definately won't repay that amount in goals if he stays. Hell put the money towards Jo, someone who does score. 3. Osman - Goes missing way too much. He's our liability. Hibbert would cope if someone more quicker, skilled and tactically aware was in front of him. I love Ossie and all, but he'd be my 3rd.
  21. Gerrard and Lampard are arguably two of the best midfielders in the world, but they can't gel together for crap playing for England.
