  1. fair point. Without sounding disrespectful, he's head and shoulders above most in the MLS, so couldn't that make him look better than he is, big fish small pond kinda thing? He has proven himself here, not as a world beater in the EPL, but he is a solid player who's experience could help the youth develop too. I haven't followed him much outside of his stints here and then the international competitions, so will bow to your better judgement here. If he's free, and wages aren't too expensive, then ok.
  2. going to Chelsea it seems http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23814060
  3. "sources" have claimed? Id trust these sources over any quoted by SSN at the moment, on this topic at least.
  4. good effort Peter! Im not sad to see the scroll go, nor the shield. They kinda confine any design. I'll see if I can come up with something, but will be an MS paint job most likely!
  5. :major overreaction alert:

    West Brom (Home)

I predicted a big win for several reasons before it was announced Anelka would be missing. edit: I too like Clarke, but the football they played 2nd half of the season, and the opening game highlights, plus not having Lukaku to pull them out of the shit, all adds up to a thrashing on Robertos first competitive home game, in my opinion.
  7. the only bad part for Everton is a transfer fee we wouldn't get back. Since there wouldn't be a transfer fee, there isn't a downside (depending on wages). Not sure how its I'm not being clear!

  9. living up to its nickname of the daily fail i see...
  10. not trying to be difficult mate! I didnt forget about any of the players the MLS has signed, that you mentioned. Is he on a free, thats the first question. is he on a free? Domino affect stops after the transfer back, which would be minimal. We cant capitalize on merchandise in the US, so theres nothing more for Everton.
  11. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23802173 surely its one or the other ; concentrate on youth or strengthen the squad? :dont know:
  12. if youre only talking tranfer fee then ok.hes 31, 2-3 year contract hes 33/34 so who will by him, even in the MLS? But for the club, rather than the progress of the MLS (selfish I know) its not a good deal
  13. so... or if thats your case, then... anyway, it was a harmless phrase of disbelief! anyway, back on topic. who else will be glad to see the back of el grando cheato Bale?
  14. Best signing? Martinez, by a country light-year....
  15. agreed that Donovan is probably the best known football name in the US.... ...but there are other countries, bigger countries, out there... I know what you mean though. Trouble is, we cant make a profit out of well known players outside of the UK.
  16. think the "fuck off" is out of disbelief, more than insult
  17. so long as he takes a cut in pay, I will be happy
  18. future England capt, Moyes was wrong here
