Would love this to happen. Very skilful player and has a bit of pace. Similar to Mirallas. Kev on the right Depay on the left would be something special IMO.

Haven't posted in a while, but this summer has been one of the worst I can remember as an Evertonian.

Bristol City. A club that were 2 leagues below us last season. Are on the verge of outspending us this window in one transfer. They have an average attendance of 10,000.

The premier league has received yet another record breaking, multi billion pound TV deal. Yet if anything this somehow hindered us, rather than helped. On top of all this, we now have our manager coming out saying that all business should be done before August. So he's either going to look a massive hypocrite if we do sign anyone in the next couple of weeks (ha!) or we're not going to sign anyone.

If we are leaving it till deadline day now, who the fuck is left? We're not going to get anyone in who is going to massively improve us, which is needed.

The club is fast becoming/has become a joke.

He was also brilliant last year. So hes had a bad few months, like pretty much everyone. There are waaaaay more important areas to reinforce than RB. I'd also put Colemans lack of impact down to the people in front of him and, in recent weeks, McCarthy missing.

Great counter attacking performance. Can't think of anyone who had a bad game really. Everyone in the back 4 were immense. Garbutt especially, called for him to get more time in the academy thread as he's looked really good for England U21's and I was fuming he didn't play against west ham but fair play to Hibbo because he was good against west ham but he was superb tonight. Perisic is a very good player but Hibbo dealt with him well.

Rom did well to recover after almost losing it for his goal and showed a real touch of class for the assist for Mirallas. Kev did really well considering his lack of match fitness. More of that please Kev!

Awsome result when you consider the run they were on and they had to win that to be in with a shout of winning the group. And considering the players we had missing. Coleman, Naismith, Barry, McCarthy, Baines. We have a very good squad at the minute.

Saw this on twitter that made me laugh

"Samuel Eto'o has just apologised to Tony Hibbert for not playing him in with a pass.

What a club. Everton where the first football club to donate something to the cause. (Only a handful of those approached did) And the generosity has been amazing.

    Thank you.

It's all about opinions mate but I think you're being hugely unfair on him tbh. He's been pretty solid since he came back and when we were leaking goals he wasn't the main culprit by a long shot (bar the swansea game)
Personally I'd have him in all day long over a kid. Hibbert at left back is different but Distin is exactly the wise head we need in a game like Wolfsburg.

I have a friend who does a lot of work for a charity called dream flight which sends sick or disabled children on holidays of a life time. He's been a season ticket holder at Liverpool for 30 plus years, home and away followed them everywhere and is a staunch red and even he says how fantastic Everton are for their work inthecommunity.

Hesays if you email Everton when they're doing a fund raising event etc and they can't do enough for them. Signed shirts, balls, tickets for tours of the stadium and all kinds of things but Liverpool give nothing , absolutely nothing.

He goes as far as to say he's ashamed of them and the way they treat their own fans and their lack of input into the local community. He said they managed to get a signed ball off them ONCE and even then they had to pull numerous amounts of strings and get an insider who worked in the club to get it for them. Once they got a yes he waited 2 weeks and no ball arrived. After numerous phone calls he finally got through to someone who could help him and they said they had the ball waiting for him but they were waiting for him to send a cheque in for the price of posting the ball to him!

That is an honest to god true story and from the mouth of a liverpool season ticket holder.

    Everton do their community proud.

If that happens then Martinez can actually go and fuck himself with his talk of giving young players a chance. He'll be no better than Moyes in that regard.

Loved the lack of players rolling around on the floor playing dead tonight; proper game. Old school stuff and credit to both sides for that, but Scotland were very poor (their goal apart); understandable give the Ireland game and the gulf in overall talent but it made us look better than we are.

    Enjoyed it all the same.

Good points. So let's be consistent here and judge that other young athletic player that we have (not gonna say his name!!!) at 24 or so too. Seems only fair.

Barkley just needs to be a bit quicker in his head when it comes to the final pass. Too many times he has broken attacks down by hesitating or trying to do so much. All very well and good having the touch to control if you don't know how and when to release.

He will be something special, no doubt. But we thought Rodwell would be too after his first season. He needs time to develop, I think Haf is right that another 3-4 years before he can be judged. For now, he is a talent with massive potential but 1 or 2 serious issues to work on so lets be patient with him and enjoy his rise to stardom.

I've always thought he was pretty poor tbh. A player who will do absolutely fuck all but pop up with 1 or 2 worldies a season to make people cream over him, and over inflate how good he actually is. When he leaves the Premiership again I'll be happy, even though it'll actually benefit the shite.
