We are just playing deep cross after cross now,which is the worry when you just play two big lads up top. I think that plays into Luton's hands. 

Need to get to the byline and cross. Hopefully Danjuma can do that as he can regularly beat his man.

I think this about Myko. His basics aren't good enough.

Its been fairly clear this half what happens when you take Gueye out. You lose a bit of control of the ball and game.

As much as he pisses me off, its something you cant deny.

In open play we should be a good couple of goals to the good.

From set pieces we should be a couple of goals down.

We aren't playing badly at all, we have just royally fucked up from set pieces and the biggest culprit is Mykolenko. He started the game quite well though and has been helpful to McNeil in giving him space to play. 

I am worried about width as McNeil and Garner are playing very narrowly but our best moments are going through them. I can see us creating enough chances to be level by 60mins. 

If we arent then we must get genuine width onto the pitch. Gueye is important at sweeping up but Onana has a lot more to his game to take over that role and let Garner play more centrally.

Brighton & Fulham played a variation of 451.

There is going to be a lot of managers getting the sack this season on that basis.

You are comparing apples with pears here and you know it.

Go 5 at the back against Luton and fans would have been up in arms. The game has changed now, and tactics need to change, albeit we are still creating chances.

Apart from the fact we have created plenty of chances. A change in formation doesnt stop us missing chances and conceding from set plays. 

Add to that there is a world of difference between Villa and Luton.

Garner has to score.

We have created plenty from open play. They have created zilch but they have had chances from almost every set piece.

Big re-adjustment needed now. We were set up to contain and attack with control but that isn't going to work as well now they have 2 goals to defend.

We need to play with some width now and stretch the game more and bring some technical quality into midfield. 

Take Gueye off, move Garner alongside Onana and Harrison to play on the right. 

Mykolenko dreadful. Absolutely brainless. He even knows he is there. He is so easy to mess around.

I think we have been a bit lucky with some of the fouls the ref has given to us. They are 50/50 and they have been mistakes in the middle of the park, prime for a counter (Gana and Garner main culprits).

Great ball from McNeil, think Dom can do better, he saw that from a long way out.

Mykolenko was the original man marking Morris that time but Tarkowski doesnt attack his zone very well either.

Clearly an area they are targetting.

It was coming from a corner. Warnings were there.

Branthwaite this time. Beaten easily by Morris at the corner.

Garner struggling a bit with their wing back. He has attacked into decent space but its a problem going the other way. 

Mykolenko giving away a big chance at the corner. Couldnt get out to the ball.

Tarkowski beaten very easily 1 v 1 there! 

Thought that was a decent ball across the box from Garner and begging to be tapped in by a front post run by DCL wanted the cut back.
