  1. Hi all, A few friends and I are coming to Merseyside for the Everton-Bolton game next weekend (can't wait), we're going for the "Club Everton" experience and will be looking to head out afterwards. Given that we don't know the city at all, I thought I'd check where people would recommend we go in terms of a nightclub...? We're all 28-33 and into guitar music as opposed to "dance" stuff on offer in most clubs... A quick look online turns up places like Le Bateau, the Bumper, the Blue Angel/Raz and The Krazyhouse (which appears to be open until 6am on Saturday...?) Are any of these places recommended? Or to be avoided like the plague? We're likely to be wearing suits (for the game) which doesn't have any bearing on where we'll consider ending up, but we wouldn't want to come across like utter ponces in a spit-and-sawdust style rock club... Thanks for reading - Any advice would be great! Cheers!
  2. Hi all, A few friends and I are coming to Merseyside for the Everton-Bolton game next weekend (can't wait!). Some of us will be meeting up for the first time in a while, and thought it would be great to have a tune if at all possible - I know this is probably a long shot, but are there any pubs in town which have instruments for use by punters...? Guitars, fiddles etc? Cheers!
  3. Thanks so much for the advice guys, it really is much appreciated. MikeO - I can't seem to find those prices on National Express - Are those coach or rail fares? Thanks again!
  4. Hi all, Apologies in advance if I'm posting this is in the wrong place - I'll keep this brief! A few friends and I are coming down from the Shetland Islands for the Everton-Bolton game on 20th March (our first visit to Goodison!). I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to the cheapest public transport to and fro Liverpool from Scotland? (From either Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow?) Chances are we'll be arriving on Friday 19th March and heading back up on Monday 22nd. I know travelling on a Friday is generally more expensive, which is hardly ideal... I'll leave this here for now - any recommendations or advice would be hugely appreciated. (Really looking forward to the game!)
