  1. Very well deserved, I think hes been our most consistant player this season. Not only is he a real threat going forward and a quality wingman in terms of his crossing ability, he is a sound defender. I really didnt know what all the fuss about Bridge was about when Leighton was due a call up anyway!! I'm a big fan of Warnock, I thought we should have snapped him up when he was getting fed up at being on the bench for the sh!te (maybe I should take over Moyes eh Milky ). I think Leighton does shade it though, hes a more complete LB in my opinion and is probably a little better when it comes to deliveries into the box. Well done Bainsey, keep it up!
  2. I cant believe this discussion, were you questioning Moyes future after the Chelsea and Man Utd game? I think not. It wasnt a great match the other day but it was just one of them things...if rodwell didnt make 'that pass' at goodison a week before it would have been a different game altogether, I dont believe Moyes could be accountable for that mistake! Back to Moyes, I really don't believe you have much to back your arguement with. As duncanmckenzieismagic stated, a 'loss' of under 10 million is nothing short of outstanding, considering how the man has transformed us from a relegation team that were lucky to get a point from the likes of Bolton/West Brom etc. to european qualification/ cup finals and beating the two best teams in the country (and possibly the world), not to mention some truely outstanding buys by the man....get a grip !!!!! He has made mistakes in the market, but take a look at the most successful manager in the profession today...Kleberson /Miller / Djemba Djemba / Bellion / Veron (he wasn't cheap!).. even the best do it I really don't think its the time to be questioning Moyes' ability, it really is laughable at this moment in time (he was manager of the month last month FFS!!!), there maybe a time were he has took us as far as he can, but I can't see that occuring anytime soon. The other point I would like to make is who could you bring in? Who would be as successful with such limited funds? (and they are limited, hes 'spent' very little in terms of incoming and outgoing transactions) Everton ARE a massive club and Moyes IS an outstanding manager. How could we possibly entice another quality manager, regardless of our history, with a shoestring budget at their disposal? He has got flaws, he does make some questionable subs (not recently though IMO ), he has still got a lot to learn on the european stage but he is a young manager still finding his feet. He has progressed so quickly that he is bound to fall short on the big stage sometimes, another couple of years and hopefully some investment then I really do believe we can go alot further in European competitions. This is just the beginning IN MOYES WE TRUST
  3. Do I get a prize for the longest thread made
  4. Quite Clever, must have a hell a lot of time on his hands!!

Yeh that was quite close to where I was sitting the cafu chant. They had a go at Tony Hibbert (to the tune of Theres No Limit) but it didnt take off, few more good games and im sure they will though haha
  6. I've been getting my point across for four years matey
  7. ah rite, I wasnt being funny, i was just confused
  8. did we? .... as for Blue Bill, cant see him parting with any money to be honest, i dont believe we have a penny so spend and i just hope Moyes decides not to throw in the towel due to the lack of funds that are available.
  9. Good news, Joey has turned into a solid performer.
  10. We have looked like a completley different team in the last few games. Im not getting carried away (just yet ) but the team spirit and fight that I thought we have been lacking seems to have came back. Players are finding their form again (or for the first time in the carreer!) and The Fell has started to win me over.... The team look more confident, are passing the ball better and figthing for every ball. There have been a few players though that have impressed me of late though: Hibbert has learnt to pass a ball and can still tacklen the way every supporter wants it to be done, top performances recently. Neville has learnt to shoot AND pass - I've never doubted his commitment, I just dont think hes that good but I take my hat off to him, outstanding against Chelsea and didnt put a foot wrong against Sunderland. The Fell is looking alot more comfortable on the ball and is actually running from time to time now! . He has good feet and does show some nice touches. My only worry is he hasnt got the ability to jump yet but if he masters running then jumping should be a doddle The best little Spaniard we know is started to show the magic again, hopefully the confidence is returning and we see Mikky causing the problems he gave Sunderland all afternoon. ..... It may be too early to heap praise on them but these players can only be more confident after their last couple of performances so I can only see things getting better for them. Obviously the likes of Jags need a mention but hes not put a foot wrong all season (well...maybe once ). He has turned out to be one of the bargains of the Premier League, a PROPER defender. KEEP IT UP BLUES, YOU MAKE FREEZING ME BOLLOCKS ON A CRAMPED PLASTIC SEAT ALL WORTH WHILE! NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM
  11. someone tell me what Everton have done with the real Tony Hibbert? This new fella should be in Artetas creative role next game after some of the passes he was making (that pass in the first half that nearly got through to Fellani ). Some of his crosses against Chelsea were undefendable (new word for 2009 ). His tackling isnt too bad as well Well played Hibbo, keep it up
  12. It is annoying though.... And theres one that a few teams sing, I can never here what they say, something abou a cup i think, i can hum it but unfortunatly it doesnt transcribe well to the written word
  13. Some poor f*cker must have spent ages thinking up Osman's song and this uneducated author says there isnt a song!!! LEON LEON LEON ...... Disagree with a lot of players/order but like Bill said, its the author's opinion...hes just wrong
  14. I would be a bit worried if anyone who sits by me started singing songs about Milwall or Utd to be honest... I am quite happy with the ones we have got, i agree our selection isnt the largest but there are some decent ones. I would be happy to have just one song if it meant the atmosphere would improve, frankly, its being embarrassing at times during the last couple of seasons. There have been one or two matches were the crowd have been immense (Duncan 1-0 Utd springs to mind, what a night...) but they are sadly few and far between. When Goodison is rocking I doubt there is a player in the world that would want to be playing there, I remember Frank Lampard saying he hates it here...which is nice Sadly recently the only time the crowd start to get behind the team is if a good hard challange goes in (Neville against the lady boy from portugal earlier this year...the atmosphere was immense...and we got a point, coincidence, I think not *pats himself on the back*) OR if the referee is even worse than usual (Renee matches are always good atmopsheres ) It would be nice to see Goodision rocking every other week again, a singing stand like at City anyone???
  15. Why not? I can see Paul's point on this one, if we lose another midfielder player then I would rather see Castillo playing the role in holding midfield then Neville. who to be fair, isnt very good. Saying that due injuries and Moyes not buying better players then that who are already at the club (we have been screaming for a decent right back for years) Neville is the best the right back we have available. I like Hibbert's commitment and attititude but I can only ever see him as a squad player. His defensive work is first rate but going forward hes, to put it mildly, shite.
  16. 'Much as it might annoy and astound football fans across the globe, England striking legend Gary Lineker has revealed that the club he enjoyed playing for most are based on Merseyside' I'm not sure why this would annoy people, Everton were one of the best teams in English Football at the time. I can count on one hand the number of times I've have heard him (Linekar) actually 'admit' to playing for Everton <_< , but its still nice to here top players still have a place in their heart for our great club.
  17. Not a nice read at all but still showing that fight and dignity. Great footballing man, its a cruel world.
  18. I dont think so somehow I for one (well two, sorry Mike!) was quite excited when he first came, I thought it was just a blip at inter and that we had got an absolute steal. Whatever his problems are, be it injuries or drink problems etc. he just hasnt warrented being here. This can be compared to Dunc, but at least he played and scored sometimes (woo big dunc ) I hope he gets himself fit and starts playing because I still think he is a great player ON HIS DAY.....he just hasnt had it yet
  19. I seen them on Jools Holland a couple of weeks back, I liked them alot.
  20. What dya think Zed, get the numbers up again?
  21. I thought they were great at leeds! They're not my cup of tea but I was raving with the best of them at the front of the NME stage!
  22. Sorry Jamie, cant say I agree with you on this one. The debate will go on but thats a good thing surely, thats what we're here for On the Fellaini topic I cant take the point he has performed consisantly. Take the money spent on him away, hes still not delieverd. He gives more silly clumsy fouls away than Phil Neville and walks around most of the time. The only threat I have seen him give consistantly is from set pieces and even then he misses alot more then he converts (I'm talking about free headers by the way, not half chances). There have been other players who have been a hell of a lot worse than him this season and he is probably at a disadvantage due to his price tag but I think the Jury is still out on him, he has not shown enough yet in my opinion. The finger of course would have to come down on Moyes at the end of the day if it doesnt work out but Fellaini has to stand up and be counted too (hes big enough ) I hope I'm wrong and he is just been played in the wrong position, not quite gelling yet etc. but excuses can only be applied for so long. I want every Everton player to suceed and would love nothing more so say I am wrong but I wont be....just yet
  23. Yeh, it was a dodgey bit of defending, he should have really been aware of who was around BUT What a consistant performer he has been over the last 6/7 months. Every match I went home saying 'Jagielka had a good game'. Even with the dip in form (putting it lightly!) to a few of our better players he has stood tall and played out of his skin every match. Echoing everybody elses comments, one mistake for countless last ditch blocks/tackles isnt a bad ratio. Hes a class act Jagielka and regardless of his quesitonable distribution at times he is one hell of a defender. Goodison Park showed on sunday what they thought of him, not one person around me started pointing the finger, and believe me, they cant wait to some of them . Hes a fans favourite and I'm sure next week he will end up saving us from conceeding a few goals. Keep your head up Jags.
