  1. Racism has no place anywhere. We all bleed the same, breath the same and die the same. I remember watching a Rugby League match on the TV and one of our (Australian) national players is a Fijian by birth and was playing for his club at an away ground when someone on the sidelines called him a monkey while he was being substituted. The player (Petero Civonceva, trying pronouncing that) ran up to the spectator and almost throttled him (the player is a prop as well, so the spectator would have been shit scared). The player restrained himself and the spectator learned that Petero was definitely not a monkey. The spectator has been banned for life and the player is even more respected than before. Racism needs to stop, the spectators are there to enjoy a game, not find people to mock. If anything mock the team, or the players ability, not for something that they were born with. That racist person is just lucky he has parents that are white or else he would be the one being mocked.

  3. I agree, but if he and Straq can help us into the top half of the table and may be even get close enough to the Champions League than he may consider moving, especially with a more involved role as compared to a club where they are only likely to use him as a substitute for Carling Cup games.
  4. Garbutt won't ever be upto Baines' standard. I would like us to go for Dodo from Corinthians. Man Utd still have the option to buy him until he's 21 in 2013 but he's a great Left Defender and he can play Wing Back, similar to Baines. He's a cheap buy as he is coming close to the end of his contract. Or may be Matteo Rubin, from Torino F.C., not sure how much he is worth, but he likes going forward - a bit like Coleman on the left, doesn't have the cross of Baines, but still young.
  5. Would love this guy at our club, hope Moyes shows an interest and "does well by the club". We've talked about him for a while here on this site now, and I hope this thread can stop and we get our man.
  6. Would be a great buy/steal. If you're looking for a winger, may be we should look at Jeremie Aliadiere - he has no club at the moment and I think he would be better suited at wing than striker, and being a striker means from the wings he can find the back of the net.
  7. I wish we got him, or Yannick Djalo or even Romelo Lukalu from Anderlecht. Someone!!!!
  8. Leave him to someone else, he's too old to pick up and then sell as well. So may be aim higher Everton. We need a proven top league scorer. Yannick would be great.
  9. Would be a great buy, even though we usually have 3 right backs on the field with Hibbo, Neville and Coleman he would be a great freebie, especially with the fact that Hibbo has been terrible we could put Chica in there and strengthen that right side defence.
  10. I hope this means he is already in talks with some strikers, or he is going to at least play Baxter a bit.
  11. Well how can we help the team, financially? May be if every supporter at the gates of goodison donated a pound towards DM's transfer ability and may be Everton supporters who are business owners can put out a tin for people to put some money in. I know it would be unpopular, but we are the people's club and I would be personally willing to donate.

    Court Statements.

Haha, nice. My cousin is so proud of being a Barrister, he thinks he is in the elite of society. I'm a Barista so not too much difference I guess, except I charge less.

anyone have any links, myp2p is not always that reliable, especially with Everton playing the bottom placed team.
  14. Yeah, I'm from Ipswich, one of the towns hit. We were pretty lucky where we are, but we have been cleaning up Goodna, a suburb of Ipswich which got smashed. My mate lives there, bought the house a couple of months ago, the river had to rise by like 11 metres for the water to even get in his house, 2 storeys under, the Rugby League posts which are across the road from him were under water. We went to his house in a tinny (boat) to start the clean up. It's terrible out there.
  15. Ummm... not work!! The money he has gotten from his football career is enough to set him up for life, especially if he returns to his home country of South Africa! This is why Everton is the working man's club. Money isn't our focus, team and club is. Man City have already seen a move away from the normal people who are their supporters, Everton do need some money to work with, but I hope we never turn into Chelski, Man City or Utd, or Arsenal for that matter. I hope we get the funds to buy great players, but only players who will make the club more important than themselves.
