I'm not suggesting they never get the chance, just that I wouldn't want a 20 year old lad with little or no experience at the top level playing regularly instead of someone like Distin who has bags of experience. Loans are for players to get experience, they shouldn't jump straight into the first team from the reserves.

I don't mind blooding the youngsters in attacking positions but its always a risk at the back. I would always go with experience at the back rather than youth.

Arteta, by a long way. Looked very good today. Our defence worries me without Fellaini, we struggled against Nolan but a good win nonetheless.

The difference is Adriano could have been getting the Ballon D'or every season if his attitude was better.

Good player from what I've seen. I'd say we should offer a straight swap. Leicester are wealthy so I doubt we could afford to buy him with no swap.

Beckford. The skill involved to calculate the movement of Bramble was superb and his placement for the second was sublime.

If he doesn't start playing, we need to get rid. £20-25m would do this club wonders. If he goes onto be a world beater, thats unlucky but atleast we can say we got good money for him at a financially bad time for the club.
