Herrera didn't make it off the bench today.. Which was good news for my fantasy team. I'd rather we offered £40m for him than Sigurdssen.
Id rather offer that £40m for Mata tbh.
-
I thought Pickford looked really good today

Normally we make those bids on deadline day and Bill comes out the next day with a "we almost had him"... a bit like Sissoko!
That was under his tenure when we had absolutly no money whatsoever, under Moshiri we should (in theory) be getting our targets as we have been told the manager has money to spend. If Bill starts coming out with that nonsense again i can see some of the fans not being too happy tbh.

"It is not just the Belgian’s goal haul that will be missed, either. His ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play allowed Everton to make the most out of Koeman’s fairly direct style and Lukaku ended the season with a creditable seven assists."
He knows nothing, flat track bully Rom .
Also, the headline, "Three things Everton still need to fix...." and then he talks about strikers and right back, what's the third thing ?
I hate all this rubbish about how we will miss Roms goals and if they are not replaced it is like we will fail to exist anymore. Just look at the other lot across the park, they have probably the best forward line in the league at the moment and they don't have a 20+ goal a season striker, it's just not Klopps type of game. There are other ways of lining a team up. Some of these journo's just write such utter bollocks at times.

Stek and Robles both on the bench.!!
I know, are we really that short on players to come in? also we have 2 RB on the bench and are playing a CB at RB, has Koeman got that little confidence in them, because he brought Martina in only the other week, if he's that bad then Ronald needs to have a look at himself imo.
-
He's only played for them twice .
Under the current regime he is part of it though, Ross has not been involved with England for a long time.
-
Yay, even less width and pace.
I feel the same mate, but also Lennon has had a shit time of things recently and deserves whatever he feels is best for him and his future.
-
Some interest from Watford by all accounts. A fresh start might be good for him, but it would leave us without much in the way of backup.
-
Says what? That because Jose Baxter never made it as a top player means that he was unable to form a reliable opinion?
Baxter himself said that Mustafi was a very technically competent footballer who could play..... Stubbs and Holden taught him how to defend.
Baxter was rated as being better than Rooney at one point but he decided he would rather play 'Im a Celebrity Gangster Get Me Out of Here' instead, biggest waste of a career ever.

No thanks, heard this bloke mentioned on the radio the other day as Southampton have been linked also and the general advice given was to avoid him as he is not very good by all accounts.
-
Tbh it's a typical response from that lot because they have not got what they want. They think that they are the greatest club ever and can't understand how a player won't be playing for them. They seem to forget though that Leipzig is owned by Red Bull and they have more money than Liverpool will ever have so don't need to sell the player. Seriously need to grow the fuck up!!
-
Strange how they have only given him a three year deal, £40m then giving him a mid term deal. Unless they have the option for a further year.
Good signing for them, Chelsea are idiots, strengthened their rivals big time there.
It does make sense if you speak to a Chelsea fan though, Matic tends to be really good or really average and Conte wants people who he can steadily rely on, that's not Matic, he goes from having a 5 one week to having a 9 the next week and Conte wants a steady 7, that is how my mate summed it up.

People keep mentioning all this about a lack of pace, when we've lost Lukaku and that's about it. We've also signed Sandro who looks quick to add to the likes of Lennon, Mirallas, Lookman and Bolasi. What's the difference this season from last (apart from one player)?
Lennon didn't play, Mirallas is not good enough, Lookman spent most of the time last season on the bench and Bolassie has had a serious injury and who knows what he will be like when he comes back, basically we didn't have a huge amount of pace last season either.
-
I would be concerned that this leaves us pretty pedestrian with only Sandro and Bolasie as our pace. In fairness it doesn't affect Spurs but look at the impact of Mane being out last year for Liverpool, it made them too predictable. Likelihood is that if both sign either one or both of our two pace men won't play.
This, we could really do with more pace in the team, it just means come match day our passing game will have to be spot on with little room for errors.
-
I doubt it would happen anyway as Collins is pretty popular at West Ham, also we should be aiming much higher than that West Ham were shocking at the back last season
-
They want him as a long term replacement for Dembele who is already 30, thing is though with Ross due to his multiple leg breaks he is not too keen on tackling a lot of the time. I must admit it's an interesting concept and Poch would be a good manager to change his game as he seems like a proper coach
-
Mr Average.
Need a decent Ch and a decent striker still.
Bill, i always agreed with you on this, i never understood the fuss with him always been Mr Average imo. There is some talk down south here that we are interested in James Collins of West Ham to partner Keane
-
I was just going to say, im not impressed with the lineup regardless of the fact it's pre-season, pretty average imo
-
tbf Anelka cost something like £500k then they sold him for £28m and it paid for their training ground and they still had money left over from it.
-
Coutinho will be gone to Barca by the time the window closes imo, and tbh i can't fucking wait as the meltdown at analfield will be a sight to behold
-
I'll be surprised if it's not Rooney
Is Rooney going to play in every game next season? got a lot of games coming up
-
-
Never heard of him before they got linked with him, is he "that good"?
Yeah, he is a better version of Chelsea's Kante, although less than 2 weeks ago he said he was quite happy at Leipzig

McCarthy should be telling O'Neill he is not fit and anywhere near ready to play football though, but i do agree that im not really sure what the Irish think they are playing at when it comes to him, they are going to ruin his career if not careful.
